Battle.net Channel Commands

Lynn I fequently use the:
/away command instead of /DND...You might want to list this one too. as you still get messages and, notifies senders you are not at computer. I believe /DND you don't get messages as it is truely do not disturb.

I may have missed this one but checked twice.

Oh...and the reply command is new to me...I love learning new things.

Wow, I did not know about the reply command either, I already know I will use it a lot :wink3:

Good job Girls (funny that you both decided to make a list of in-game commands almost simultaneously) :thumbsup:

Nice list. A couple of additions would be helpful..

/r command only works when you're in the channel. It doesn't work when you're in-game.

Probably the most useful /msg parameter is this one:

/msg %F(n) hello

Where n, without the brackets, is the number of a person on your f list. Seeing this usage of /msg, the usefulness of /f p and /f d increases. The idea is that you can chat to a specific member of your f list without letting everyone in on the conversation nor having to use their account name.

Thanks for the sticky, Dredd. :grin:

I could have sworn I had /away and /reply in the initial list. They must have gotten lost when I was rearranging things. :tongue:

@WebDragon ~ I hadn't seen the /msg %F9(n) command before, and want to test it first. I like to make sure the commands work, and be sure how they work, before including them. :wink3:

Oh it definitely works...it really speeds up messaging to friends

/m %fx yoh. x = number in flist. give it a try. You will never go back.

I used to /reply command to reply back to a bot really quick, I told it to Shut it, and it said "sorry sir you will not be contacted again" :D

That's ladies. :wink: I put mine up in the Terms Sticky in response to a request. The only one I could find was on a competing site, which I obviously couldn't link to.

Yeah, amazing how Dii's turned up a few hours later. :grin:

Updates have been included. :grin:
That's ladies. :wink:
If they think we are mere girls then:

Uncle_Mike = Criminal Pimp.

Gorny = Forum Fat Kid.
*runs from both DIi and Thy-aid*
You want to butcher our names on purpose, go right ahead, it doesn't bother me. Now, Thyiad on the other hand... I would run as far away as fast as possible if I were you. :hide:

Has the forum assassin started yet? Plenty of daggers around already :laugh:

Was it you or Vivi who came up with the criminal pimp? :rolleyes:

edit: sorry for the OT, I thought it was the ot thread :girly:

Guide has been integrated into our Rule/Links sticky thread here.

@ Dii Legend: If you need any help with corrections/additions, just let me know. :smiley:

first of all, great job on that list:azn:

/clan [your name] - This command will allow you to create a clan channel.

i was wondering how that one work. if i do that, can i get a channel and become a moderator of that channel, and how do i do it? do i just go to chat and type lets say "/clan fires of hell" and it creates a chat channel called fires of hell that i can use and moderate? i own a clan, and that would be great to know. we usually just enter chat, then click channel and write in the clan tag to join the channel, but i never used that command before. could you explain that one?

and again great work:thumbsup:

you can always use "op [own accname]" which gives you the right to manage the people in your channel: banning and stuff basically. You even get a cool showing tar to boot. This is most useful when you need to keep a certain group up to date.

thanks for the reply, but it doesn't answer how it works or how i can kick or ban people. if anyone knows how this is done, could they explain it to me?

I had 3 people ask me about this subject in a game today - told them to come to this site and look - BUMP (not sure if that works for a sticky but I'm gonna try)
