Thorned Hulks are Animals.

These massive tree-like brawlers use their huge, club-like fists to pummel soft targets into bloody pulps. They are slow of foot and attack, until successful hits engage their Frenzy attack, greatly increasing their movement speed and attack rate. It's best to engage them one or two at a time; letting a whole mob charge up to Frenzy speed at the same time is very dangerous.

The Spikefist is a type of Thorned Hulk listed in the game files and on Blizzard's website, but they are not found in the game as of v1.11.
