Jewels are small, socketable items like runes and gems. Jewels have no function on their own; they only work when placed in an item socket. Jewels differ from gems and runes in that any given jewel adds the same bonuses no matter what it's placed in; armor, weapon, or shield. This allows jewels to add unusual bonuses; enhanced damage from armor, enhanced defense from a weapon, and so forth.
Jewels are magical, rare, or unique (added in v1.10). There are no crafted or set jewels.
