Hey, everyone. No e-drama from me today, I swear!

RL: Day four at work. When I saw the GF for the first time today, I didn't even get a hello; immediately she asked, "How's that cover letter [for the Blizzard job] coming along?" I was like, "Why, do you know something about my employment that I don't?!?!" She rolled her eyes so hard I thought they were going to do a full three-sixty.

Not much planned for today. I should pay a bill; maybe I'll kill two birds with one stone and make a car payment a few days early, too. Gotta think about food, too; I'm thinking about pasta, but haven't gotten any further than that.

Oh yeah, my sister that I haven't talked to since I came to Texas called me while I was sleeping today. It was nice to hear her voice, even if it was just a message.

D2: I really should do some runs with my Bow Masters character. Also want to progress with my recent quester; it'd be nice to at least get him to Hell.

OVG: I wrote up the comments & verdict for the SDA run; also said I was available for two others. Starting to get semi-serious about learning the quickest routes & strategies for Time Crisis 2.

So what're YOU up to? :spy:

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

RL: haven't slept at all for 36 hours, so there's a fair chance I'll crash sometime around midday. I'll have to drink excessive amounts of caffeine then.

D2: got my barb to nightmare! He's scarily efficient... killed Baal in 20secs at /p1 (lvl 45) and smashed his way through all the minions beforehand - including Lister and the rest of his pack - without having to guzzle a single potion. He promises to be something of a beast. Currently running Baal to get a few more levels before I try and run through NM as quickly as possible to get to those juicy A5 superuniques with their wonderful grindability.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

@ Fenrix: What build is your barb?

RL: My books have arrived! Yay!!! Amazon said they'd be here by the middle of september. I'll have to make a trip to the post office to get them.

D2: LK runs. GF running/crafting with my WW barb. I just can't seem to get him over 87 however. The second I get abit of exp, I get myself in a situation where I die :(

And pindle runs are boring as hell. Especialy when he has manaburn. Yuck. I need a couple griefs. The bad thing: if LK dropped me 2 LO's right now, I'd make infinity with them.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

@ Pijus: titan frenzy/WW barb with mace specialisation and plenty - and I mean plenty - of LL (25% atm, as well as 6% ML... still enough to fill my bulb with each blow I land). I know I should probably have gone for polearm specialisation, but I've got some big hurty hammers readily available... I also feel polearms are somewhat overused.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

I've got myself an Immortal King's Stone Crusher waiting patiently in ATMA. I know I'd be better off with an up'd ribcracker, but I don't like sticks. I like big scary hammers.

As for the actual amount of damage it'll do... eh. I don't know. *goes off to do some quick calculations*

EDIT: sorry, that's BERSERK, not frenzy >.<

Irl: My first day in school after summer holidays. We are doing stuff with photoshop, which is nice for me since I'm pretty experienced with that already.

D2: I'm going to continue playing with my upcoming Fury druid together with 2 of my friends (going to have LAN games at their house), one has bowazon and other has dragoon barbarian. We are in beginning of A4 normal, going for just fun casual games. Later when I get to home, I thought of running LK with my sorceress or do some baal runs with my 60lvl hammerdin to be able to start playing in hell with him.

Shame though, I'd like to be outdoors too since weather is so nice here.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

Pijus: at lvl 90 with +4 to all skills (which I have planned...)

base weapon damage - 1689 – 2326
whirlwind damage - 2330 – 3210
berserk damage - 8361 - 11514 (!)

on a weapon fast enough to hit the last WW breakpoint. Also with battle orders maxed, and some odd points in prereqs/ natural resistance/etc.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

Thats some pretty impressive berserk damage! My own pure zerker with a weapon 3 times as damaging as yours does 15k max damage. I do have heaps on deadly strike though.

I'd like to try a titan ww barb aswell, because my current double oath guy seems a little weak. Yeah, I'm power hungry :D I would use a more hurty weapon than an IK maul though.

You should check out razgriz's(rikstaker's) ww guide. I think a link to it should be somewhere in the barb forum.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

Thanks! I'll have a look at that guide. Though this character seems to be working out just fine, so I'm highly unlikely to make any big changes.

Unfortunately, the only way for me to get a more hurty maul than an IK maul (apart from ribcracker, which as I said, I won't use...) would be to drag out the high runes... of which I have a grand total of 1 ber. Won't get me far.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

RL: At work already. Two more days and I'm done! But then it's back to college a week later...

I went running yesterday and my hip hurts. It's the first time I tried running two days in a row, so I guess I'm not quite ready for that yet. Later that night I went out for coffee with a friend of mine. It was a very good time :)

D2: Ran Pindle for almost an hour yesterday with a single unique dropping(I was carrying 570+MF too...). Not sure what I'm going to be doing with it today. I have decided that my next big D2 kick will involve HF rush for an Enigma though. I was going to rush for 2 Los to get Fort and Grief, but I'll save them for later. I really want to get my poisonmancer geared for Pit runs and if I'm going to MF with him I want to do it right :P. Pray for my sanity!

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

RL: woke up early again, through no fault of anyone's but my own, and did an early round of job hunting. Need to send a couple of follow-up emails. Oh, and coffee, lots and lots of coffee.

Upcoming: Cigarette run, shave, shower, lunch at Oaxacan Tamale place (finally), some research on NPCs and free will, help mominem pack up the car for a trip with the dog (they're leaving tomorrow for 10 days!), another round of job hunting, maybe a nap, and then it's all about . . .

D2: Bow Masters, baby! RangerRick made it to A3, and then cleared the Spider Forest, Great Marsh, both Spider Caves, and fetched the Flayer Jungle waypoint (scary: Champ/Berzerker/Fanatic Flayer Shamen and their minions, plus about a dozen wraiths, but Ricky and Gwinni prevailed through hit/run and kiting (which I'm getting a bit better at)). He leveled up during the battle, and I accidentally put a point into Holy Shock :hammerhead:, but it shouldn't hurt anything too much. Today will see him trek through the Flayer Jungle, and maybe as far as Travincal or beyond. . . we'll see.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

@6Shooter : When was the last time you made it this far?

RL : Leaving work! A friend is droping by to pick up his SNES converter and his Tetris for NES

D2 : Questing those false tombs with my pally

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

@m3g4: well, with a tourney character the last time was the Random tourney earlier in the year with a TS/DTailer: deeds to IM in the Chaos Sanctuary. But all of the Sept toons made it with few/no troubles. I don't know what's been wrong with me. Like I've said before, I breeze through A1, am deathly afraid of A2, then pretty much cruise through the rest. I don't know what it is about A2, but I always seem to have some trouble. (Likely arising from lack of concentration or drunkenness or other distractions, coupled with my relative lack of dexterity and skill, which is not helped by playing on a 13" MacBook. One of these days, I'll get the big-honking monitor set up, and turn this lappy into a desky: just a simple thing like a full-size keyboard would help a great deal. Anyhow. . . )

Edit: according to my sept notes, the sorc died 4 times in A2; the zon and druid died twice; and the pally and barb died only once. The sinner and necro had no problems.

I think my problem also may be due to playing HC. I get a bit tense, and my ability to play drops by 1/3 or so. In SC, I'm not so tense, and am able to more calmly assess situations/options/etc. before committing to a course of action.

tl;dr: it's been quite awhile ~4 months or so.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

RL: Ordered a new NIC from newegg last night. Hoping to be online on my own computer some time next week. No idea why my onboard ethernet port broke. And getting it from newegg costs half as much as it would getting it from a store.

D2: I think I'll resume HF tonight. I believe I'm Ist + Gul short of having one of every rune from El to Sur. Can't wait to get my net back so I can MP with smips again.

Re: Wholesome Wednesdaily

RL: Went to see Green Day last night, very enjoyable show. Tonight Costco/Dinner with wife and daughter.

D2: If I get a chance I'll rescue Cain with my new HC Druid WarrenZevon, very original name :) My first druid. Yet to spend a skill point with Khalim's Will and then RC, I should have a few skill points to place at level 30 :)
