Who says you don't have a choice? What should I make my CtA in?

So I'm going to make a Call to Arms. I have the runes ready to go, the only thing is I can't decide what to make it in. Here are the options I already have in my stash:

Eth Crystal Sword
Phase blade
Flail
Superior Flail

What would you make it in? This I'd like to be able to use this on a few chars, so the phase blade is at a disadvantage from the start. This is one of those situations where it doesn't matter at all what I put it in, and that is what makes my decision hard.

Eth CS = Kickass. I mean...it's Ethereal...and cool looking...you couldn't want more out of it.

Phase Blade = Also fun...well, not economy wise. A 5os PB is worth a HR-2 to begin wish...but it sure is hella fun to whack stuff with it.

Flail = Booooring.

Superior Flail = Not as boring, but still very much so.

My choice resides with either the PB or Eth CS.

I'd go with the Superior Flail. If the Phase Blade really is at a disadvantage, I'm discounting it; the Eth Crystal sword... I'm not wise in the ways of rune words, but it isn't going to become indestructible, is it? And if you're going to put it in a flail, it might as well be a superior one... right?

EDIT: the person above me seems to disagree. Listen to him. I is teh Noob...

Depends on what otherr weapon you're using on the char you are planning to use it on. You'll want it to look different then your main weapon so you don't attack something with your cta by misstake.

CS looks best, double axe is a nice uncommon option ... flail "looks like hoto", but I've done a couple when I couldn't find anything else to make it in.

double axe looks different from most main weapons so I think it's the best choice if you want to move it around.

Well...CTA isn't meant for whacking things as so much as it is for casting BO/BC...so it really doesn't matter if it's Indestructible or not, as it isn't gonna hit stuff to begin with.

The Eth CS just looks the coolest...CTA is usually a RW where the base item is meant purely for style/looks/perks.

Well, yeah...but it's expensive, comparatively.

Although taking my Bowie into the CS and switching to CTA PB/Lidless is...quite fun, to say the least, especially when you're whacking at a mile a minute.

If you're on a budget, though, CTA would be one of the last RW's I'd choose to whack stuff with...it costs Mal, Ist, and Ohm while something like Breath of the Dying "only" costs a Vex, Zod and Hel...

Ethereal Call to Arms are cool, so I'd go with that.
The crystal sword isn't worth too much anyways, so you're just saving a trip to Charsi ^^

i'v made one into staff.. usefull +3 chilling armor and looks arent that bad

for those above i'dd go for ethe cs

I would say it depends on what type of weapon you plan to kill things with. It's a good idea sometimes to use a CTA that is different than your weapon type to prevent attacking with the CTA. If I were to choose between those, I would say either of the flails, or the crystal sword. Even though it is eth, it has low requirements, and any character can use it. It doesn't matter if it's eth, most don't usually use it to kill with anyway.

~Edit~
Guess I should have read the second page first.
I went eth CS, I was leaning that way anyway....got a 5/4
That's good, now collect the runes again and try for a reroll!

yea eth cs are one of the cooler ways, if doing pally build, u may want to find a scepter with HS mod on it (it'll be rare though)

Search for a triple skill +3 scepter for your pally, sox it, and hope it gets the 5 sox. That might be most useful, you benefit from the skills but prolly don't have to hit something physically.

I once had (1-2 years ago) an eth cs cta on switch on my grief pb wielding zealot. It happened I didn't notice I whacked away with the wrong weapon, almost brought it down to 0 dur. :badteeth:
