Whats KTA in KTAEast stand for?

Also, do they play untwinked? I was wondering, sorta, if we should start a KTAWest, for those lonley west players that play in these forums. So far i only know 5 ish people that play west, including me. Im sure theres more, post here if you are west, and indicate it!
 
What would this KTAwest do? Is it like a HC playgroup or clan or something of the sort? If it is sign me up!

back on topic tho, a west group (whether it be ktawest or not) sounds ingenious!!! :xrollseye we should organize such a group!!

Hi Mkillerh,

KTA is an abbreviation for "Kill Them All". The idea was to find a group of HC players who who wanted to play through Normal, Nightmare and Hell and not rush it. Take the time to kill all the monsters, find all the WP's, complete all the quests and do it untwinked using only the gear found by team members.

We play legitmately using no hacks of any type. We don't trade at all with outside players, instead we just share all the items we find in game with each other.

In reality, we don't actually kill every single monster, but we sure do make a big dent in the monster population :D

We started first on Europe, and are now up to reincarnation number 8 there. KTAeast started recently, and if you wish to start such a group on West, that would be pretty cool.

Big thing is trying to get 8 or so fellow Diablo'ers who can commit to playing on a regular basis for about 7 weeks. If you play for 2-3 hours, twice a week, this is the approximate time it'll take to become a Guardian.

My personal epxerience with KTA has been great. I have met some excellent people on the Europe realm, and have had a really fun time. Nothing beats playing this game in a co-operative party where you always have someone covering your back and you don't have to worry about PK'ers and such.

I wish you well on getting a team going on West.

Which raises the question "What IS that avatar?" I always thought it was some kind of Photoshop thingy, but its obviously not :scratch:

It sure would be great if you get KTA_West going. Imagine that..we only need to conquer Asia then.

BTW...once you reach Guardianstatus or finish for other reason you can twink your surviving character like mad and play him outside KTA of course...and you can trade..just don't PK with him or do stuff that gives us a bad name, plz.

KTA 1.0 did indeed visit every corner of the maps..at least in normal. We went into each and every dungeon. We don't do that now, but we still visit random pits on occasion, do the odd red portal in act 5, Pit, Mausoleum, Crypt, Ancient tunnels...and we always kill Nihlatak on all difficulties. THE one big challenge that this game still has. Imagine going down there after Hellforge dropped you a GUL and it is still burning a hole in your pocket...the one thing that cannot be looted if the vipers get you...and they surely have killed several of us guys.

The halls of pain have the only WP that many of us choose NOT to activate if we find it..otherwise you can't reach Pindle quickly anymore...

I find :xflash: better. And where's the moving snow on the avatar? The wekend is over and it's still kinda not moving!

The avatar is from a website calle VG Cats which is a weekly webcomic that makes me laugh. You should check it out at www.vgcats.com.

I guess if someone else is using the avvie now I might well have to find a new one. (Why is there no sad christmas smilie?) (And what do leprachauns have to do with christmas anyway?)

Well...check the "I hate/You hate" thread. I made my animated avatar last year with Image Ready and this weekend I couldn't for the hell of it figure out how that program works (because i was so stupid and saved the finished work as an animated gif and not as a Photoshop file :bonk: ).

So no animated snow for another 5 days :(

Anyways I wish to do a KTAwest, badly. It's been a while since I've played HC and I'd like to get back into it.
