What is a Monster Shrine's radius???

Anyone know?

I touched one ... looked around and didn't find any monsters turned into bosses/champs ... began to think what exactly is the radius of a monster shrine?

I dunno as if it has a "radius", per se, but it seems to make the next monster you "activate" and unique.

Then again, I am just a rambling fool who should be ignored at all costs :grin:

I don't believe it is the next monster actived as I've used monster shrines and not found the unique that was supposed to spawn. Instead I think (but can't prove) it is the closest monster to the shrine that becomes unique. So if you walk the wrong way you miss out on the effects of the shrine.

Monster shrines definately make the closest monster a unique. I too believe they have a radius, because I can recall clearing out a large part of a map, activating one inside the cleared portion, then cleared the rest of the map and found no unique monsters.

I believe it is also like a chest, to a certain degree, where sometimes you get something from it (aka a champ or unique), and other times you get squat.

I recently found a monster shrine when the map was basically cleared. I went and grabbed some random mob from the next area and ran it back to the shrine then clicked at it became a unique. So I would make sure theres something on the screen when you click it to be sure.

Yeah I think there is a radius, but I don't know what it is. I always make sure there is a monster on screen when I hit them. And also make sure there aren't any champs/bosses on screen as these wont be effected by the shrine. Not sure if they can cancel out the shrine if they are 'chosen.'

IIRC only normal monsters are changed (i.e. another boss's minion won't work). I'm not 100% sure of that.
