What build should I use my 'Gloom' sacred armor on?

What build should I use my 'Gloom' sacred armor on?

I was doing some pit runs this morning and I found a 3 socket sacred armor, so I socketed it for gloom and its really impressive now: 2027 defense, +10 strength, All res 45, -3 light radius, 10% fhr, 5% damage to mana, half freeze, 15% chance to case dim vision. I'm quite proud of it but I'm not sure what would be a good build to use it on. I also found a 3 socket Tomb reaver today so I thought a polearm barb but I thought cryptic axe requires 100 dex do I really have that many stat points to spare when I'm needing 232 strength to wear my 'Gloom' sacred armor. In retrospect maybe I could have made the sacred armor Enigma, but I don't have those runes + Enigma has no % Enhanced defense so I didn't think it was a good way to take advantage of the huge defense of sacred armor.

I'm not particularly item rich but I have 1.09 versions of Immortal Kings set minus the armor. The weapon has no dex requirement so I thought the partial set plus my armor might work well. What do you think? Any other good builds that could take the best advantage of this armor, druids maybe.

Whirlwind barb with maxed Shout would be a good choice. 103 Dex is not so much. It is the lowest dexterity for range 5 weapon IIRC.

EDIT: 1.09 IK set is not as good as 1.10 - no sockets

According to Arreat Summit Cryptic axe is only range 4 but yes it is the lowest dex of those. Actually no Glorious axe is only 55 dex.

Mace weapons look appealing for the no dex. But they do have less range than my tombreaver.

Plus tombreaver can reach max break points with just one Shael socketed and then I still have 2 more spare sockets. It seems the benefits will make up for the 100 extra dex. Plus I actually have Tombreaver, I don't have any better maces than 1.09 IK maul. Who knows how long stuff like Cranium basher could take to find :scratch:

Cranium Basher is quite hard to find. And I wouldn't use it on a WW barb because it reaches 8 fpa only, even when Shaeled. And ctc Amp on it doesn't trigger when WWing

You should consider putting 2 Shaels in your Tomb Reaver. It will be nice werewolf weapon reaching 4 frame Fury. But then again, the extra IAS is useless for your barb

I made Gloom in Archon plate. I use Archons mostly because they can have 520+ defense, its a light armor and requires only 103 str. Sacred armor has more defense but 232 str required makes it less useful, only few characters can use it

Not to mention the level EIGHTY-SEVEN requirement.

You should consider putting 2 Shaels in your Tomb Reaver. It will be nice werewolf weapon reaching 4 frame Fury. But then again, the extra IAS is useless for your barb

It's actually 30% IAS needed for 4 fpa Fury, so IAS jewels with second mods is probably better than Shaels (and it still hits max WW speed too!)
