vex and zod

vex and zod

ever since i saw the rune word botd all my time has been tring to get it. can ne 1 help me by telling where they have find vex and zod. ( and i dont go to ebay) what runs and is there ne i out there that dont mind giving up 1 or both of them. for (2) kuko, ist rune, key of terror,

Personally, by far the easiest way that I got a Vex was by merging up two Gul runes (the complete cube formula is 2 Gul runes + 1 normal ruby = 1 Vex).

Gul runes can drop from Hellforge, and I do about 4-5 Hellforge runs a week, so it wasn't difficult for me. Other people might have a slightly harder time though..

Meh, I wish I could do hellforge runs....

Find Vex and Zod... Mmm...

Vex ==> Hell Hellforges, Cube two Gul Runes up.
Zod ==> Pray hard and hope it drops from the sky. Hephasto and Nihlatak have the greatest chance of dropping a Zod. Be warned the odds are 1:2099563. Or when converted to percentage, it's 0.00004762894665%
 
You have more chance of being hit by a plane that has been struck by lightning than finding a zod rune. Read that somewhere.
 
The best way to get HRs including Zod is to visit high level areas (act 4-5, pits, tunnels etc.) and to kill a few dozens of millions of monsters. Good luck :lol:

It doesn't pay off to hunt particular bosses, as their chance to drop one is perhaps 5-20 times better. Killing 5-20 regular monsters goes faster than finding and killing the boss in question. Of course, if you stumble over a boss, you kill him as well. ;)

OMG i found a zod rune!!!!! *BOOM* *ZAP* *EEEERRRRWWWWWWW* *CRASH*...
 
Get your strongest character, strip all mf gear off and suit up with your heaviest arse kicking gear and goto town. Kill everything in act 4-5 and do some pit runs. I've never actually found a zod but i have found a vex and two ber that way. Also worth mentioning a Lo rune and two ist's. Good luck with it and don't obsess about it, you'll enjoy the game more. Honestly, while i have obtained the runes to make a botd, once i had them i realised there are far better uses out there. :thumbsup:
 
I've run Hell Andy about 200 times this season and have been getting some really good drops. Well 2 days ago she dropped a VEX! Still not sure what to do with it.....make Hoto or not? But i got time cause it aint going to poof.

Go ahead an make HOTO, which is one of the best caster weapons out there. Or you could pray for Ohm/Ist or Zod to make Exile or BOTD.

Not for me. I found a zod once from the Hell Baal council members. Still haven't got hit by a plane struck by lightning yet :lol:
 
I got my Vex rune off one of those hellcat guys in the Lost City(act2), just a regular one, wasn't a champion or anything.....now to find a few more to make Infinity :)
 
just to be pedantic: your odds of being hit by lightning are estimated at 1:3x10^6 (but of course it varies according to situation so any number here is really just BS), so finding a zod rune is actually quite a bit more common :)
 
You can get a Zod for ~ 5 ists, which you are probably more likely to find than the zod :p
Either from hellforges or from hell countess, I've got a few ists from her.
..Or by doing boss runs, cubing the charms and trading the awesome +life skillers you get :D

Even if you had 2 cd keys, I believe you'd have to hang around in public rush-games to get the quests for the mule you're rushing, unless you haven't done the quests with the rusher, which is unlikely, so it's not *that* easy.
If there's a way to get the quests for the mule some other way, I'd like to know.

cubing charms? you mean using 3 chips to reroll on gc's and sc's?
