Unable to connect to BNet

So I've tried everything to connect to BattleNet to play Diablo 2 LOD. I've opened the ports such as 6112-6119 and 4000, I've disabled all my software firewalls, and I still can't get it to work. Whenever I try to connect to BattleNet on Gateway USWEST, sometimes a black screen will come up shortly or it will say UNABLE to CONNECT to BATTLENET. But for some reason I can join Battlenet if I'm on USEAST. I currently use a wireless router DGL-4300. I then wirelessly used someone elses internet to connect and I successfully connected to BattleNet on USWEST. Then I tried unplugging my WAN wire from my router and connecting it to my computer. And it worked (that is I connected to Battlenet on USWEST)! So I'm thinking it must be the router. Any suggestions would be helpful, Thanks.

I having a similar problem right now, have you played on using the router before? I wonder if i hook straight to the modem if i can play.

I have solved my problem

OK I was connected at one point. I am pretty sure I have been temp banned for something. Good luck getting your router to work. Battle.net has some helpful stuff to try:

I believe step 4 is about connection issues with routers, firewalls, etc. Good luck.

Yippee! I finally figured it out. What I did was after opening the correct ports, then saving, then rebooting the router, I then immediately restarted my computer. And what do you know, it worked! I guess for some reason my gaming router DGL-4300 won't open the ports correctly unless I restart my computer right after I open the ports. LOL. On top of that, I got Parallels to work on my Mac! Fixing my Bnet problem and running Parallels on my Macbook all on the same day, I think I'm gonna have a heart attack. Well, being able to log on to BNET on USWEST for me is bittersweet. My grades will definitely drop but at least I can play Diablo 2:LOD on my Mac and desktop, yay for me.

Solution to:Unable to connect to Battle.Net

Do you have a wireless router?
Do you get the error Unable to connect to Battle.net only on one realm?

If you answered yes to both questions, the solution might be:

Can't get onto Gateway: U.S. West LOD

Can't sign into US West LOD. I've tried on two different computers. I get this message

Unable to Connect
Unable to connect to Battle.net.
If using a modem. You may need to connect to your internet service provider before connecting to battle.net. For more information. Please visit

I was able to sign onto US East though. So what the heck is going on with US West?
