Tri-element socr vs Hell ancients

The game seems hate me, I haven't managed to beat them yet (hard to find a managable roll in 1.10).

How many tries did it take for your tri-element sorc to beat them (no outside help)? Maybe I just didn't hit the magic number yet.

PS: I know how, just not when (the luck factor).

Honestly, I thought my tri-sorc was among the easiest of all my characters versus the ancients.

Run away, cast at them, repeat. Seriously, you should be able to beat them without getting hit. The only mod you really need to avoid is extra fast.

This worked for an FO-using tri-elemental sorc. 3 tries. 2 deaths before I eventually succeeded. This was back in 1.09. It was players 8 btw.

I scattered full rejuvs on the four corners of the AS in addition to the ones in my belt. I equipped my hireling (act 2 defiance) with both shaftstop and vamp gaze. I casted TS and frozen armor before I woke them up.

I had a wand of LR on switch. As soon as the trio came alive, I cast LR on them.

I ran around the summit on its widest rim, occassionally casting FO (once or twice) when they were near enough to get hit by the FO blades, but not too near so that Korlic can leap attack me.

When I saw one running with LR already gone, I recast LR.

I heard one scream of anguish eventually after about 5 minutes of running around and spamming FO (I think it was Korlic who was killed first), then another about a minute later (Madawc IIRC). Then I stood my ground against Talic while he and my merc dueled. I spammed FO at him while he was under an LR curse, and gave full rejuvs to my merc when his life was low. Eventually Talic croaked, and I was motionless for about 2-3 minutes. :D

I hope this helps.

Take the outside track. Run, cast, run. It just takes time, be patient. Once one is down, it gets easier. It took me over 2 hours, to take them out with one of my sorcies and she ended up killing the last one with a level 3 ice blast.

My FW/FO/Nova sorc took players 8 ancients down real quick.

First static (Douhh) then I let my merc tank and threw what ever I wanted at them, mainly firewall I think. If my merc got in trouble I just teleported him out and gave him juves.

All pretty simple. Just remember to use teleport wisely.

My tri-elemental sorc and hf merc beat the Ancients at level 88. I actually tried 3x at level 86 and 2x at level 88. Used static field when possible and double teamed each of them until they all fell. I would also use teleport to help my merc get in a better position to fight the Ancients. Good Luck!

Okay, now they are down. It took me 35 mins. just before I gave up.

For odd reason I always get roll which every one of them been dual immune. (once I get a none FE/cursed/mana burn/fanat/HF/extra fast roll, I try them) leaper and WW just happened to be the most deadly for this build. However, somehow I couldn't kill these two first, so the poor "harmless" Madawc had to go first (he was CILI, so FW him to death), at this point, I already used most potions. the next was Leaper, he doesn't like to stay on ground, very annoying. Lightning him to death. To this point, I used all potions (one for my poor sorc, the rest for merc), and my merc was poor on health. Talic was barely touched yet and became extra deadly after saw his two d00d defeated. The rest story was easy, FO + teleport = pwnage.

And I just has to shout out "AHHHHG, WFT 11111oneoneone!!111"

Congrats on your success! Baal and the boys will seem easy compared to your ordeal with the ancients.
