Threat loads on my PC from this site ?

Hi, Today , I opened only this website, twice, from 2 different computers, one at work behind a big firewall and one at home 4 hours later.
Both times poped up " Errorsafe " threat which installs
ErrorSafeScannerInstall.cab in the temporary Internet files of Local settings.
and a shockwaveflash Errorsafe banner which proceed to a registry scan. Each time I was replying No to the question, "do you want to scan your PC for free". But those pop up are not stopped by any of the popblockers I have.

My home PC is behind Counterspy + Spybot + adawarepersonnal , then AVAST for the antivirus with up to date files.

Do u think it is linked to this site ?
Did someone get the same after logging into the forum ?

Strange, I haven't seen anything like that.

Edit: There is an identical thread like this on the WoW forums with a response from Rush.

I'll let him & Elly know so it can be looked into.

I got that one as well, twice at work and 3 times at home. I only get it when I visit this forum.

It started yesterday

I rarely get the same prob, but on random events (even when not browsing anything)

Iirc, it is a virus, a lot of people have it, but it doesn't cause much harm. If I were you, I'd get rid of the Counterspy, spybot and Adaware (those programs gave even more problems when trying to clean a computer)

Install AVG and go drink coffee for half an hour while it scans your pc, let it fix anything it says and you 'should' be fine. Chances are though, that you can't even uninstall Counterspy and Spybot, since they're infected easily by virusses.

In that case, do a format of your entire hard drive, install windows again, and before installing any of your programs, get AVG and no other virus (or spy or spam or ad) program blocking thingy.

We are already 2 facing this issue. I will certainly not format my PC since it works fine, may be slower since XP sp2 and all these updates. There are also other ways to uninstall properly everything to be replaced by AVG without formating.
I 'll wait a bit this thread to grow up to see if satisfactory solutions are available.
THx

Mmhm. I got this (something like it?) once, not from this website, but it was fixed lickety split by someone in a spyware forum that I frequent.

You do know its a VERY VERY STUIPIDTo have more than 1 spyware and antivirus program running at the same time correct? They clash with each other andgive inaccurate readings.

Well, before calling that VERY VERY stupid, I would say that Indeed you cannot run 2 antivirus but, I read several PC magazines advising to install complementary anti spy or the more recent microsoft antispy Beta, however I generally take time to trust Mr Bill Gates softs.
despite I am not a program writer, I read often and I concluded the constant protection VS spyware on my PC should be Counterspy only, I use adaware to make complementary scans to cover the 5 -10% not detected by counterspy. I have only one Antivirus.
And your post does not answer the question of the thread : Is this threat, errorsafe, linked in a way to this web site ?

Yes there is a problem with purediablo.com. I get redirected to a site called xxx.errorsafe.xxx and get a popup. Don't think anything got downloaded, but I killed the window.

Happened on 2 different computers. Result->all banners etc is now blocked from purediablo.com.

@celbii Running more than one anti virus as resident protection is stupid yes. But trusting a single program to be enough is even more stupid. At school (computer science) we were recomended to install 2-3 anti virus programs with best all round as resident protection. The reason for this is that it's very hard to install such programs after an attack by some kind of virus/spyware.

EDIT: Browser used was Firefox. Tested and it seems turning off javascript kills it. Most likely javascript embeded in the banneradds
