The Missionary(Conversion Paladin)

Has anybody ever made one of these builds, tried looking online and didn't come up with much. I know Thorns is usually combined with Conversion but other then that I don't know where to put other skill points :( .

Any suggestions or links would be much appreciated.

I like the idea of converting enemies, kinda like the necromancer. Read some stuff about it online, apparently was a good build till it was nurfed in patch 1.03. Don't mind if it isn't as strong as it used to be, I think it would be fun to try out.

:lol: Yeah, the sixteen second time limit on converted enemies does seem a little short. Not to mention that when maxed out it only has a forty two percent chance to convert ( I think ).
 
The only good thing is that you don't actually have to hit the monster for it to convert; a mere swing of the weapon is fine, so AR isn't needed.
 
So, conversion isn't an aura... just imagine if you could use Zeal/Conversion :D

dude... with a very fast weapon, you could convert all of ubertrist to do your bidding, and then you could use your 1 point in smite to finish off the UBERS :D :clap:
 
Missionary still works but its more of a Variant now. Thorns took a major hit so it's not the skill it use to be. You are better off running Fana yourself, and getting a Thorns merc to provide that aura. If you are rich you can equip Pride for him ;).

The more Auras going the better..as usual ranged attackers can hurt you so be careful. Afaik, the bug where monsters AI returns to normal after conversion, does still exsist if you are below monster lvl curve. The bug leaves monsters with 1hp after they return to normal muhahah.

You are better off using a normal build of choice, zealot, avenger etc, and add points to conversion as well. As you can see, there are severe diminshing returns.

I tried the build last ladder and it was fun indeed. Good luck :)
 
Hmmmmmm im definately goign to have to try this build out for size if its as fun as you all say it is lol. Ive got some nice items laying around that sound like they would compliment this build right on :uhhuh: .
