The Generals flail

Someone just gave me two Jah for the generals flail! Needless to say I am very happy with that trade but I had to wonder why anyone would pay 2 Jah for it (actually I thought he was pulling my leg). It looks like it might make a damn good smiter weapon. Upgrade it, throw a shael in it and you will reach max ias and it slows target 50%. Would the slow target work on other players and Ubers if you smited them? Do you think thats why he wanted the flail? :scratch:

PS-I'm going to have to stop selling them for gold when I find them now :tongue:

the person was probably a cheap duper who could care less :(, sell those jahs fast or make an eni :P
 
cheap duper turned bad manner dueler.

i saw this one barb with doom/generals and when he hit people they moved like snails.
 
I don't think you'll ever find another person who is willing to pay that price.

Slow target would work on other players, but is considered by most to be "bad manners".
 
Its a very BM weapon especially on LLD. Once slowed the enemy can hardly do anything. Remember this slow can be carried over to smite as well ! Once smited a switch will kill most melee classes.

Usually, the General Tan Do Li Ga flails end up not even being picked up.
 
It doesn't slow people as much, but a better weapon to use would be an Astreon's Iron Ward. IAS, +2-4 Combat skills, Crushing Blow, and +damage make this a perfect weapon for a BM smiter.

I don't know if they do it much nowadays, but I remember how a while ago, bowazons made use of the General's flail. They would fire off a Guided Arrow, and quickly switch to the flail before the arrow hits, thus making the arrow acquire the Slow modifier from the flail.

lol thats brutal... does that still work? if so, then imagine town hugging zons with malice rw on switch.

It probably still does, but I have not really seen many bowazons in duels nowadays. What's the Malice for? The 100% OW?
