I forsee this thread not getting much love, what with people being busy with family, watching the Detroit Lions get crushed, and the fact that Thanksgiving is traditionally an American holiday. But along with the daily, I'll share with everyone what I'm thankful for:

RL: @ work, then I'll have the rest of the day off (meaning, not going back to work at night). I'll be sleeping as soon as I get home (too little sleep the past two days), then waking up for the uber traditional Thanksgiving meal: Chinese food. :scratchchin: ...wait, what??

My roommates and I are hosting both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, and since we're all super lazy we're going to go the easy route today then do an all-out spread in December. I'll have to go out and get a hot turkey sandwich somewhere soon, though. After we eat, I'm headed to my girlfriend's place (woah, that's the first time I've used that word in a looong time) for the night.

D2: Not today. Bizzay.

Thankful for: First, the SPF. Like how 90% of my knowledge of cars comes from the BBC show "Top Gear," it's the same for Diablo II from the SPF. You all rock! *sniffle* Secondly, games like D2, Super Metroid, Castlevania:SotN, Earthbound/Mother 2, Battletoads, Legend of Zelda and a Link to the Past, We [Heart] Katamari, and Black; without them, I'd probably have gone crazy years ago, or worse. And last, the globalization of culture, for video games, music, fashion, and how technology has brought us all together so we can all learn from each other and celebrate our similarities and differences. If when I first picked up an Atari joystick as a wee Menace and was told I'd be discussing video games and sharing music with people from one hundred nations around the world on a daily basis twenty years later, I never would have believed it. Electronic music FTW!! :cloud9:

Happy Turkey Day, everyone!!

That reminds me that I need to take a run by Half Fast Subs (say "Half Fast" quickly, out-loud, and tell me that's not a great name for a food-joint in a college town ;)) and get their "Thanksgiving Dinner Sub". Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy... all the fixings mixed together on a fresh oven-baked loaf. That sub is Pure Awesomeness.

However, today, my 'tradition' from recent years will hold true: While everyone gets stuck with family functions for the holiday, I'll sleep in until ~10:00 then get up and go skiing. The slopes are packed until about noon (about the time I'll arrive), then everyone has to leave to do family things and I get the mountains to myself. I should be able to knock out 4 hours of non-stop skiing if I don't get bored (none of the "good" terrain is open yet). When I get back I'll probably make a turkey sandwich and the baby spinach salad that I've been craving for a couple of days. Baby spinach = awesome too.

Afterwards, my friend Michelle is probably going to swing by with her ~4 month old puppy. Now that the house-training is working, she wants to get him socialized to other dogs and situations (makes sense), so there'll probably be an excess of wine & such tomorrow night. Sadly, my camera is on its 10th life, so I'm doubtful I'll get a picture. I'd like to.

D2: SpongebobIII is rolling along fairly well on /players8. He's about to go into the Maggot Lair in Hell, and hasn't had a hiccup yet beyond my own stupidity (I'll tell you the details in the Pat writeup).

I've recently had another brain-fart inspired project that might happen and might not. It probably will, but it's still a secret, it'll take a while to pull off, and it's a low priority right now. So you'll probably have to wait a few months. To me, that's the best thing about D2 - and probably the worst. There always seems to be some idea left to try. I've been playing this game for ~5 years and my projects list is just as long as it ever was.

have fun
everyone

RL: Happy thanksgiving to you guys in the states! Hope its an awesome day. I;m at work as its not a holiday here in SA but I have emailed my US friends a happy thanksgiving email.

D2: Hopefully some time tonight to take Cyanide to level 30 and start using poison nova. Once I hit that I think I will fly through the rest of normal and NM. Currently sitting in the pandemonium fortress yet to venture into Act4 on level 29.
