Tartanasia's classic hc Seprative

Well im still not entirely sure off what a seprative is, but Im guessing its completeing the game with one from each class. As this Will be classic there will be five characters. Im not to sure if making sept's means not twinking but If I can twink it will only be after my first char is done. Im considering what to do for my first char, Ive had most chars on realm classic hc and there all pretty tough to solo. I think pratically a metor/sorb would be best to start. Ill put up a table and update every now and then. Lets hope I get a nice shock on the way like a soj.

Ill be playing 1.11 hc cl (no need for mods lol) and using Atma.

Well, Septumvirate means a Pat/Mat (or Guardian) with one from all 7 classes, so if it's classic, it would probably be a quintumvirate. I think. I'm hardly an expert though.

Good luck with your quint, hope you get that SoJ (Hope I get one as well, but that's a different matter_

******** died in barracks. Got trapped in a corner with two elite group of archers and i was amped. Some nice delvkins managed to keep me in -_-. I could have s and e but ive deicded i wont be doing that on this quest. Im now considering my next character (umms and arrs). I might remake or make a maul baba. I dont think im ready to do a hammerdin yet and fishymancers are stupidly hard to solo hmmm. Yeh barb it is...

How are fishymancers hard to solo? As long as you don't use a lot of minions in the arcane sanctuary and maggot lair (both at players 1 in all difficulties), you should have little trouble. Most physical immunities are broken, and you can try and give your merc some elemental damage, use elemental revives, and/or summon mages for those that stay physical immune. And that's without mentioning the fire damage on corpse explosion.

firstly classic= useless mercs (no equip). Secondly classic = low + skills. Thirdly the bosses in classic rip summons to pieces and then you afterwards. On realm ive got a lvl 55 summon/bs necro classic/hc and its so tricky to solo. Im really trying to figure a good build for a necro. I might try decrep/bonespear with prison at a high level for trapping bosses. I really dont know. Ive heard stories off clay golem mancers soloing norm/nm not sure about hell for shiz.

A quick update on the barb hes lvl 18 and @ the entrance to catacombs. So gar its been hard work getting a good killing speed at p8. Ive changed my weapons ffrom jeweled bardiche 2 33ed rare spear 2 magic 2x crystal swords. Im finding the crystal swords better for killing speed but im still progressing very slowly. Im also unsure whther to go maul barb or lance, Ive always preffered lancers but maulers are easy to find early gear for. NDE's arent much of a problem my hps at 3xx so i tank quite effectivly, plus that much hp always lets you know when u need to run backwards. Im also quite stuck on skill placements and stats, heres my plan.
20 whirlwond
20 Battle Order
20 Mastery(maybe do this after ive done Natural resist)
10 natural resist
1 iron skin
1 shout
1 faster run (etc)

Stats
str=(str for weapon either martel for a mauler or lance for lancer)
dex=base
vit=max
enrgy=base

Im not sure if base dex is wise but I dont need block and I will probably try and find angelics for ar and hsrus for defence.

O and also Merry Christmas! To anyone who reads this, this will probably mean I wont be playing much for next day or so.

Well a second dead, I think im going to have to give up on this till I get some of my hc instincits back. This death was far beyone stupid. Was getting skill quest done at p1 batteled rady in a small alleyway all the revives trapped me in, no mana for leap and tp spawned miles away. Killed rady and the posion killed me with the horror beating me up. I have to say I find this save and exit rule kinda stupid. Everyone on bnet saves and exits when the going gets tough its just another skill involved with in hc. To get used to not doing this it means I need to play more defensive which is not my style. Im gonna practice a little in exp hc, but untill then its back to sc for me. I probably spent near to 5 hours on this char and killing speed was so slow, hc cl is truly the most challenging aspect of diablo. I think next time I try it I need to think of some builds and get mfing with a sorc asap so that weak melle chars can be twinked.
 
Hey, good luck with your sept :smiley: I haven't played classic since LOD came out but same rules apply. Don't let those early deaths take you down, it happens for everyone :tongue: Just learn not to charge into areas full of monsters. Pick them one by one, not all at once. I always play like that and while it isnt needed in normal and NM it pays off by hell. It does make my slower progress a bit slower but much fewer deaths are well worth it

Well after serious consideration im back on operation. Played sc, mfed meph found nowt got bored. So I decided to get on task!! For the first time ever I decided to do a full clear -_-, man its dull and slow but no NDE's yet. I may do full clear on pathways and search for next levels. Thats because I dont ahve the time to spend 3 hours getting darkwood when I can do it in 1 hour just as easy. So yeh from now on its onwards, no going down holes, no circuling round the map. The reason for this is I want to get to andriel at around lvl 18 and mf it for a little while. My build this time round will be Orb/FireWall. I think As +skills is low on Classic im going to have to rely on none syenergy moves. This also means when I hit lvl 18 I cant start putting up a skill. Lets hope this character can get past act 2 lol:grin:

was going so well :(. 1 more level and blizz and metor. I was doing full clears of maggot lair at p8, I still had no NDE's was actually really easy, using glacial spike and firewall. I reached on of the rooms on the end of a corriodr (my favourites for firewalling inside) and started firewalling. There was some lovely elites in there and i started ripping them up. Suddenly one of them started smacking me while the lightning bolts flung of his m8s. My hp went down gradually i started to back away but got stunned moving back down the corriodor. Sudddenly thought **** im dead and as I tryed to teleport i died. This is my second death which really was pathetic much alike my barbs death. I dont mean to sound big headed but Im sure that as soon as I had blizz and metor I could have got to frozen orb easy. My motovation has now hit rock bottom as I was so close to getting to a stage I thought would have increased my leveling speed. Im really stuck what to do now, I think ill let this thread go down the hole and start up again in the near futur
 
Blizzard's changes to the game are centered of course on LoD, and sometimes the effects spill into Classic pretty hard. Don't get discouraged- there aren't many people playing SP HC Classic (I play both LoD and Classic) but that doesn't mean that it can't be rewarding. I am more proud of the Queens and Kings I have made than the Guardians. If you haven't already had a look at the Classic Forum for build ideas, you may find it useful, although much of that is oriented to battle.net play.

@Sir Lister: summoners in Classic suffer from several problems, besides those mentioned above. Minions do not travel from act to act, so you can't go back to Act 1 to raise an army before setting out from the Pandemonium Fortress. In fact, getting an army going in Act 4 is really the crux as the first kill can be very difficult. You'll want to do all of Act 4 in one go, since getting starting is such a pain, and that is a long, trying stretch. Also since mercs don't move from act to act, you have no merc in Act 4 and the only time you can get a might merc is A2NM.

Luckily SP has a way around this, you can play older patches such as v1.06 for nostalgia or v1.09 which also has the players command :badteeth:
