Strategy guide request

I wasn't sure which forum to put this request in. This seemed like the most general of the strategy forums, so I thought I'd try here.

If a guide like this already exist, please point me to it. I've looked around, but I haven't seen one.

What I'm looking for, is some kind of organizational guide. I'm both ADD and dyslexic which means that organization is not one of my strong suits. I've got equipment, runes, and gems scattered across 3 bnet accounts. I've got characters that I wouldn't mind jumping on and playing again for a little while, but their equipment has all long since been moved to subsequent characters. Putting them back together would involve going through every character on every account, and most likely I'd end up losing something since Blizzard seems to have a grudge against people who like to drop mule.

Anyways, I'd love to see a guide with some good tips on how to organize all your D2 junk. Should I store stuff by category (all weapons on one mule, all rings on another), by level (lowbie stuff with lowbie stuff, mid stuff with mid stuff, etc) by value, or some other method I haven't even thought of?

Is there such a guide? If nothing else, I'd love to have some random tips here.

Thanks in advance!

get on each mule and make a spread sheet what you have on them. every time you movesomething make sure to update the list.

Re: Strategy guide request

Personally I force myself to using just one account of mules:

* 1 char for gems (I have a cube + some ilvl 90 charms here for rerolling)
* 1 char for runes (at most 4 of each rune below lem before i cube)
* 1 char for jewelry (rings/amulets/jewels)
* 1 char for set items
* 1 char for uniques
* 1 char for rare items
* 1 char for charms
* 1 char for white and gray items

This practise forces me to continuously trading/vendoring the worst pieces of equipment while maintaining a simple and easy to use system.
I label the characters with the items, they hold.

The only problem is, that after some runs, when you have to mule, you'll need to change characters many times to maintain the structure.

Re: Strategy guide request

Look through the Diablo Files forum. There's a very well written program that helps you with this.

Re: Strategy guide request

I'm forcing myself to organize my mules like this:

One account with mules for each of the following:

1. Gems (later I will reroll GCs myself, then I'm using this one for keys)
2. SCs+LCs
3. GCs+LCs
4. Rings (plenty of room for temp storage)
5. Amus (plenty of room for temp storage)
6. Jewels (Rals+PAs go to here as well)
7. Runes (except Ral and Spirit runes)
8. Spirit runes+monarchs (also has a cube for rerolling Spirit shields, although I stop making them when they become commonly available for trade)

Armor and weapons are distributed randomly on further accounts. Two mules have leveling equipment, however, which includes charms, rings and amus. I'm restricting myself to 2 accounts of that kind. They all have a free 4x2 space, so simplify trading.

That's having a problem with reading and writing (rougly said), but your posting doesn't look like that at all. Perhaps you are just lazy :smug:
