Starting my first bear druid+noob questions, plz help

Well i was bored and i decided to make a bear druid, i read some uides but noone seems to answer all of my questions.Hire we go:
1.For a pvp bear druid wich is the best spirit? oak sige or hov?
And is spirit of barb lame to use becouse it sems kind of unfear like iron maiden?
2.Wich is the best skill to use, i c hire is a lot of talking around fireclaws, but it got 4 sinergies to pump up so i guess my only choice is maul or hunger?
wich is better for malee in pvp?
3.And, i cant belive that a cheap phase blade socketed 6+ sahel is better then a good Ebotd, there is a huge differenc in dmg,,?

Tell me your opinion and thank u in advance :lol:
 
1. Oak sage for fireclaws, HoW for maul. Spirit of barbs isn't "lame" because it simply "sucks". ;)
2. For most damage fireclaw is best, hunger on it's own isn't that good. Some say fireclaw isn't strictly melee though...
3. 6 shael phase blades are usually used by fireclaw bears which do almost all of their damage with fireclaws fire damage, so they have no great need for physical damage, but speed matters very much.
 
I guess all the important questions have been answered . You could save a sunergy and add a lot of defence with a stone armor. But pure maul seems to be more up your alley so get lots of ar (angelic rings and ammy) and speed in the form of a 6 socket phase (4 sheal and either 2 ed/ias or ar/ias jewels).

I as a 6 sock berzerk exe with 6* shael aslo good for maul?
I think i alredi got it somewhere on my mules,...

slower then the phase check the calculator you migh not need 6 sheals and still get a 5 frame attack with decent damage...another 5 frame option is a 4 sheal griz caddy.
 
For a maul bear though ... don't you want a higher damage weapon? Speed is almost all you need for fireclaw bear b/c the damage is based on the fireclaw skill ... but maul is a multiplier of physical damage. So unless I am mistaken a phase-blade using maul bear will get rocked!

I am building a PvM werebear with the IK set (2 shaels in the maul) with a 39ED/15 IAS jewel in the armor for a 7 frame attack (as fast I can get with it) - has HUGE elemental damage from the set bonueses and is pretty fast for a maul bear ...
 
As far as i know on a maul bear counts just the ias on a weppon, not in armor,, or am i wrong?
2nd,...my druid is now lvl76 with caduceus socketed 3* shael, edias armor, and can just tell u that for pvm it sux a lot ,... i didnt test pvp yet,, but for now i think that it will be even worse in pvp,,

Got also a berzerker axe 6* shaeld and it looks faster then the caduceus

Well maybe someone can help me out testing that druid in pvp, ,,,but there are not many pvp malee druids aut there to play with :evil:

what's your ar/life/def/dmg?

It would be probably because your ar is too low.. and not making enough contact with the enemies.

When you have much IAS coming from the weapon(WIAS) and the base weapon speed is good, IAS outside weapon(like in armor) doesn't help you any further(OIAS). Check the calculator if you aren't sure.
Well if you mean by cadeceus a griswold's redemption, it is missing 2% IAS for the 5 frame breakpoint so you could actually have 3 ed/IAS jewels in it and still hit 6 fpa. If the griswold's has 4 sockets you can get 5fpa with 1 shael and 3 ed/IAS jewels. A 4 frame maul weapon would be (superior) phase blade socketed with 4 shaels and 2 ed/IAS jewels.
For maul bears the physical damage matters of course, but speed is still very important in PvP. In PvM you can get along with much slower attack speeds.
 
Poor ar somethiing around 5k with hov spirit
Dmg is arround 1,3k when the green spinningy thingy is maxed
I didnt put any 3/xx/xxcharms in it but far as i know this would give me just 2 k ar more pushing me up to 7k,well with maxing hov maybe 8-9k and this is not so much, without angelic of couse.

It looks i should fint 4 more shaels to shaled my pb,, maybe with that i will get better results.
 
some corrections: ar=5,4
Dmg=1,3k without the green thingy and 1,7 with

I think i am gonna make a fury druid with my newe botd zerker 412% :lol:
