Spirit Runeword not working (?) Diablo2 LoD

Hi all,

So this is not about the resurrected and I'm sorry for that but I suspect that the runewords will work the same on Diablo2 LoD.

I have been trying to create a Spirit Sword, got the sword from a monster drop, gray with 4 sockets, and added the runes in the correct way, however, instead of creating a Spirit Sword I get just a sword with the attributes of the runes I socketed it with. Where am I going wrong, aside from being posting this in this forum instead of a dedicated forum for Diablo2 LoD instead if they even exist.
This was done on a Sorc level 52 Character.

I have tried it twice and always the same result. Any help welcomed.

In D2 legacy, certain runewords aren't available to battle.net non-ladder characters or Single Player characters not using the runeword mod. What type of character are you trying this on?

It is indeed a non-ladder Character on multiplayer. Dam.
