So what charms you carry - or I have no room

My zon is constantly running out of room and constantly having to mule stuff off or cant pick up enough 30 K items to gamble effectively.

I look at space with what you carry and you have cube, tomb of town and identity. You always have one flawless gem in case you hit that gem shrine. I'm fortunate enough to have Gheeds charm, which I found in pits. I have four small cold charms, to hopefully slow the monsters down when I strafe and add freeze length when I use FA.

I have two sc of life 18 and 20. A poison charm with 4 secs length, a must have, wish it was better. This is to keep the monsters from healing. Also have 2 large charms, one with life and mf. The other with 2 to max damage and 22 life. I also have two small mf charms. Carry a key and your pretty full.

I also have ammy and ring that I switch in and out of depending on situation on me. Both for more MF. Once you put all this on youve got 11 empty slots, or enough for a polearm and grand charm. I'm new to expansion and just trying to get ideas on how much to take with me.

PS. Stash is full as well.

LOL

Any advice appreciated, specifically what and how many charms do you uber zons use.

Well, you forgot to mention what kind of zon you're playing.

My zon is a bowazon and I use her primarily to do pitruns and
occasionally countessruns when I get bored with the Pits.
She's using mid-gear (no uber-runewords); Windforce, Wartravs,
Shako, Skullders, Laying of Hands, Highlord, String of Ears, Nature's Peace and Ravenfrost. I use a Harmony bow as a weapon switch for PIs.

For charms, I use a gheeds (I actually got it for free), a grand charm with AR and life, two small lightning resist charms (20% combined), one cold charm to chill the monsters, two 19life small charms and one 5% fhr small charm.
Combined with one extra quiver of arrows, two tomes and some keys, this leaves a good 20 spaces for all the junk I might find along the way.

Some thoughts:
- Why all those cold charms? With a somewhat decent bow and a good valk, you shouldn't be worried about chilling. Besides, even with a large number of cold charms, the chill time is still too low to be of much help.
- Poison charms to stop the healing? That would be the first charm to go were with me (unless maybe when it's a 290 sc). There are plenty of items that stop monster healing (like the nature's peace), but even more important.. with a decent bow you'll be killing a lot faster than the monsters can hope to heal.
- In your case, I'd loose the mf-charms. It's only a small mf-bonus and you'd be freeing up a lot of room this way
- If you can find them (I haven't yet though), one or two passive skill charms are good to have too. I would loose the AR-life charm for a passive skill charm.

If you have more questions, tell me what gear your zon uses and what skills she uses.

Btw,
Everybody's stash is full. LOL

My Bowazon carries as much MF as possible. I have several small charms at 3% or 4% MF and some medium and large charms with MF. A Gheeds rounds out that portion of the inventory. I usually do not carry + damage charms. Sometimes, depending on the character, I may keep + resist charms. I do keep a flawless with me at all times, too. Usually a Topaz, because I am a MF hound. I do not carry any identify scrolls or tome at all, after I rescue Cain. I just use him for that. I do carry a TP tome at all times. I usually have two or three rows free to use for stuff I pick up.

I'm a bowazon who uses strafe. My two bows are an upped WWS and Buriza. Because I used to strafe with a Buriza, that is why I have so many cold charms to stop the suckers. If I had a WF I would definately lose the cold charms. Your right about the posion charm, its gone with my Natures Peace.

What is your mf and resists with your setup?

In addition to the charms my gear is Raven and Natures Peace, an upped goldwrap, cow king boots, rare gloves with 14 mf and plus 2 bow skills, viper with a topaz, and steelskull with topaz.

First of all, just ditch the flawless gem. You don't see them all that often and if you do, just make a TP and get it, unless you're always playing MP.

The ID tome is important to ID every rare you find since you don't want to bring it back to Cain.

Check your charms. Large charms don't always have better bonuses than small charms so you might just want to switch to a small charm of life/mf instead.

I basically leave 8 spaces free excluding the cube. Thats 20 spaces free in total which is enough to keep 2 35K amours and a staff. Good enough for me to return to town for selling.

I feel your pain--

My problem is that I have a blizz sorc with a couple of cold GC's and 2 mf gcs with 27/28 life. After a tome of town portal and one of identity, a dozen keys and maybe the cube if I know I will need extra space I have little to no room to pick up more than a couple of larger items.

As far as the cold sc's you have: I would recommend a holy freeze merc from Act II NM if I'm not mistaken. I love them so much not only does my sorc use them, but the paladin I'm building and the next ms/strafeazon and my current lf zon will use them to. Cold immunes still slow because of holy freeze, so you can't go wrong.

Hmm take away the tome of id, you can tp back to town or always find one. the cube should be empty. Dont worry so much about cold damage or whatever. and try to break down the large charms into small charms so you can move them around better. so if a 22 life large charm you can find like 15 life, 15 life small charm.

Well, some people actually prefer the upgraded wws to a wf (I'm not one of them though), so I think you could do without the cold charms now. Btw, what % is your wws? If it's perfect (or very close to), some people might be willing to trade it for a wf.

My mf and resists are both not very good. I believe around 200mf and resists varying from -30 to -80. But still, I rarely die because my high level valk tanks so good (max valk and 17 decoy at this point). And with some ll, a good damage bow and a decent AR, you leech back enough to survive almost anything. And my mf can be raised a good 50% when I can socket my items. Both my skullders and my shako are unsocketed at this point.

About ur gear,
Try to replace cow king boots with wartravs, they give a small boost to your damage while still giving some mf. Also, I'd get some better gloves. +bow skills do little good and the mf is low. I use Laying of Hands which is great for a bowazon with +350% damage to demons, IAS and 50% resist fire while still being affordable. And I hope you're using a highlords amulet with that (u forgot that one). The deadly strike helps a lot, even with a decent critical strike, and the +skills and lightning resist make it even better. And if you're rich enough, trade in the viper for a skully; it gives much better mf and you don't really need the resists, especially not for pitruns.

In response to all. I do appreciate the idea that you people gave me. I did pitch that small poison charm when I was picking up stuff on a quest. Ran out of room. LOL. Cube, stash, and inventory all full. Dang. I had maybe the best day ever as far as trading and getting stuff, but that's another post. I do have better gloves, that's why the stash is full. I guess I'm a magic find ho. In stash I have Lavagout and the Laying of Hands. I guess I just want every inch of mf. I don't have highlords, can't find/afford it. Have a Cat's Eye, very cool and rare plus skils prismatic.

Man here is why I made my comment I went to a game in hell called 3 socket armor. I have one three and two four socket armors between 450-500 defense. I show up some sorc says she wants my boots. Obviously she has maphack. I think she is talking to somebody else. We get in trade chat and I tell her my mules. She says create game. I do and she shows up and says the wants my boots. Here is what she offers for the cow king. Now, I have personal attachment as I found these myself. She offers Skulder's, some nice three socket armor 515 defense and two runes between sixteen and twenty. I think and I say no because my zon has no room. TRUE STORY.

If I would of read this first. Damn.

I never carry the cube with me, never done it so Im used to it. Dont carre identify tome either. Some of my chars have tome of tps but some carry 4 in last belt line.
I only have one ama that Im still playing with from time to time, shes using mavinas
I have some bow charms (Frozen Arrow) and PnM charms. Rest are vita, dmg/ar and resist charms.

hmm, different inventories for different zons.

for my strafeazon with wws, i carried only 3 max scs. didnt get her an anni, didnt bother with res (or maybe i should have, she died from a ce boss and this was hc) and maxes are the only thing that benefit a pure strafer anyway. extra space is around 24.

for javs, mostly the same thing, but i carry all the jav skillers i have at that moment. usually that means 3. usually have some scs of r/w and mf. extra space is around 16.

One other option, not viable for all characters, is to put your town portal scrolls in your belt and not cary the tome. You only have 4, and you lose one bank of potions that way. So many won't do it. But it does free up two more small charms, or turn one small charm into a bonus skills charm. So sometimes it's worth it.

Final thoughts and closing this topic. I definately took the advice and wanted to give update. I kept the Gheeds, I wish all my characters had one. Ive got 5 spaces taken up with mf charms. I have four small life charms. The extra nagel and cat's eye for switch dependent situations bring me to 16 free spaces plus cube. That's enough. Thanks for help.

P.S. I'm sure I'll have this problem again as I muled all the cold charms to my next lower level zon.
