Shadow Warrior will only use the skills you have on left/right click.
Shadow master has her own AI and can do all sorts of assassin like things.
For a trapper I prefer shadow master since I don't like having my shadow lay traps all the time. Plus, I believe you can only have 5 traps between you and your shadow.
