Runewords for blade fury

My blade fury assassin has just got to level 18 so can use blade fury now, so I want to get her a better weapon.

First, do 2-handed weapons get their damage reduced to 3/8 with blade fury? It says so in the guide but I've also heard that this doesn't happen any more, which is right?

I am thinking of making 'Steel' for her now, then 'Strength' when I have the runes, would this be better than her current weapon (see below)?

Bone Hew
Crystal Sword
One-Hand Damage: 7 to 24
Durability: 20 of 20
Required Strength: 43
Required Level: 10
Sword Class - Normal Attack Speed
Item Version: 1.10 Expansion
Item Level: 22
Fingerprint: 0xb161bf32
+2 to Minimum Damage
+9 to Maximum Damage
Adds 1-6 lightning damage
75% Damage to Undead
+56 to Attack Rating against Undead

I have a 2-H Blade Fury Sin and I never had any damage problems with her. I don't know if the 3/8 thing is true or not but it wasn't a problem anyway. I'd say as soon as you hit 24 get a Bonesnap even better if ethereal. At level 30 upgrade it, the weapon is incredible for BF whether you plan to go 2-h in the end game or not, it is an insane weapon for normal/NM.

Untwinked (TWD), so no bonesnap unless she finds one.
I've got a nice 2-h maul with knockback I'll try out once she has the strength for it, I was worried it wouldn't do enough damage if the 3/8 thing was true.

Steel and Strength both look like good options for BF. Another option would be any many-socketed weapon filled with topazes of some variety or another.

Arrggh, I don't understand this.
This displays as doing the about the same damage as the first sword on the character sceen, but I can't really tell if it's killing at the same speed or not, it does seem to be though:
Deadly Two-Handed Sword of Quality
One-Hand Damage: 2 to 13
Two-Hand Damage: 10 to 24
Durability: 60 of 88
Required Dexterity: 27
Required Strength: 35
Required Level: 3
Sword Class - Normal Attack Speed
Item Version: 1.10 Expansion
Item Level: 13
Fingerprint: 0x952b8992
+30% Enhanced Damage
+2 to Maximum Damage

I also have this, which looks like it should be doing far more damage, but it doesn't seem to. It displays as doing something-130 damage, whereas the others display as doing something-90ish damage:
Viper Spawn
Maul
Two-Hand Damage: 39 to 53
Durability: 32 of 60
Required Strength: 69
Required Level: 9
Mace Class - Slow Attack Speed
Item Version: 1.10 Expansion
Item Level: 22
Fingerprint: 0xb053abe0
+24% Enhanced Damage
+24 to Attack Rating
+2 to Minimum Damage
Lightning Resist +6%
Knockback
150% Damage to Undead
+1 to Mana After Each Kill

What's going on? Is there a penalty for some 2-h weapons but not others? And is the character screen damage right for blade fury?

Edit: I've got a nice looking shield (gold coloured spiked shield), so I think I'll just make Steel in a 1-h mace or flail, whichever looks nice, and be done with it.

Too late to edit. I made 'Steel' in a mace, because flails stick out at a funny angle when doing blade fury. It has considerably speeded up killing things, and I get to use the pretty shield.

Yes,

from the FAQ in the assasin forum:

Note: It isn't a good idea to use Two-Handed weapons with the Blade skills, if your aim is to improve Physical damage with them, as the Physical damage of Two-Handed weapons takes an additional 50% damage penalty (on top of the fraction of damage that is applied on the Blade Skills). So, when using Two-Handed weapons, only 3/8 on BFury, 3/16 on BSentinel, and 1/8 on Blade Shield of Physical damage is transferred over to the Blade skills (despite what it shows for BFury and BSentinel on the Character Screen). However, the elemental damage transferred remains unaffected.

I just thought the name simularity was funny :D.

I have one good claw weapon for BF assassins, it is ethereal and has leach with decent damage and knockback. I'll post an ATMA read-out of it when I get back home

When I was playing on my untwinked SP BF assassin, I found knockback very usefull, just my 2cents.
