Rune Word "White"

Question: If you shop the best possible skelly wand, add the rune word "white," will you get more damage out of your skellies than with AOKL?

If you can get +1 +3 +3 on a wand (is that the best one you can shop?) and add the rune word white, you have more total skill levels than AOKL, but they are shifted towards mastery a bit.

I know this item would not have the collateral benefits (and drawbacks) of AOKL, but as a skeleton summon buff then switch, I'm wondering if it would beat AOKL (slightly).
 
Ok suppose u have a 2 open socketed wand with +3 raise mages, +3 raise skeleton and +3 skeleton mastery and make a white. The resultant white would have:

Hit Causes Monster To Flee 25%
+10 To Vitality
+3 To Poison And Bone Skills (Necromancer Only)
+3 To Bone Armor (Necromancer Only)
+2 To Bone Spear (Necromancer Only)
+4 To Skeleton Mastery (Necromancer Only) +7 with staffmod
+3 raise skeleton
+3 raise mages
Magic Damage Reduced By 4
20% Faster Cast Rate
+13 To Mana

AOKL give +5/5/4 RS/SM/RM as opposed to +3/+7/+3 with the above white

My take : AOKL beats white for a pure summoner but things may change if necro is a bone/summon hybrid :tongue:
 
but if you find a +1 to summoning +3 skel +3 mastery wand and dont care about mages, white gives more bonuses to skels. Slightly.

Is it possible to shop a +2 summon, +3/+3 wand?
 
uhm, I didn't think that white (normal) wands could get +2 summons, or even +1, and what do you mean by "shop" unless your shopping akara in act1, I'm not sure how thats going to work, afterall, you cant make RWs in blues =P

Oh the 'Graverobber' (+1 summon necro) and 'Mojo' (+2 summon necro) are prefixes not 'auto' staff mods so these exist only on magical/rare items ^^ IIRC +3 raise skeleton and +3 skeleton mastery staffmod could not spawn together with +2 summon necro or +3 summon necro prefixes in a magical wand or necro head but you may want to check with the Statistics forums for confirmation :laugh: Kupa is right: u can't make runewords in magical items.

Ooh. That reminds me that somewhere I have a +3 Revive/+1BS 2os wand. Get me a rare head with BS and Revive and I've got a heck of a hybrid working.
 
Hmm actually i too have been looking for a +3 spirit/3 revive/3 spear necro head and wand, both 2os for white+splendour (total 30%fcr) I was thinking with a high resists Umed +2 circlet, trangs gloves, arach's and 2/10 rare ammy it could be an interesting PvM build :grin:
 
i found recently a wand +3 Bspirit, +2 IG, +2 Bone prison...not bad for a future white bone wand.

AOkl remains anyway the best for pure summoner or to prebuff an hybrid necro.
