Question of life leech.

As I was looking at the druid skills, I noticed that hunger has some massive leech abilities. I started to wonder if this ws only good for healing or if this leech actually does extra damage to enemies.

Example:
Lets say you do 100 damage and have 50% leech. Of course this heals you 50 points, but will it also damage the enemy that extra 50 points also? So you would do 150 points of damage instead if 100?

Would a build centered around hunger be effective at all?

no. in your example you're leeching 50% of the damage you do back into your life pool, but you're not doing more than what you're doing.

That's what I figured but I was crossing my fingers for the possiblity. Thanks for the help!

Hunger does very well if you have large amounts of Crushing Blow on your equipment. It is extremely fast, while the damage listed on the Lying Character Screen doesn't look like much, it can be very effective. I used it on my Werebear (Yogi) as a third attack type, along with Fire Claws and Maul. Given its speed, it could be a viable primary skill with the right equipment. I would go with an upgraded Ribcracker, Guillaume's Face, and Goblin Toe boots, with Fire Claws for Physical immunes, and of course Shock Wave for crowd control*.



* Crowd Control = the playing strategy, not the forum member. I'm not sure of his feelings regarding Shock Wave.
