PvM Sorc and Energy Shield (and Frozen Armor question).

Is it better to max energy and leave vitality at base with an ES that absorbs 75% dmg for PvM?

Which factors affect Frozen Armor's freeze time? Mine says "freezes for 3.8 seconds" but in hell it's close to 2 seconds (it should be 0.95 right?).

Depending on what difficulty (Normal, NM, hell), the freezing (or chilling) times vary.

"Cold Lengths are reduced to 1/2 in Nightmare and by 3/4 in Hell." (Arreat Summit)

With only 75% ES absorb, I would go with a life to mana ratio of about 1: 3

I know the penalties are 1/2 and 1/4 in nightmare/hell.
3.8 seconds should be 0.95 seconds in hell, but it's longer than that.

Do you have cold mastery? I know that positive cold resists will reduce chill/freeze time, so it stands to reason that negative cold resists would increase chill/freeze time. Although, in my D2 experience... just because it would make sense doesn't mean it's true.
