Pure Avenger Mana Issue

Hello

I'm building Pure Avenger (Vengance + Conviction) This is my first Palladin and I am not sure should I put one point in to mana every level or not. Venganece at slvl 20 requires nearly 9 mana per swing, but I will probably get some descent mana leech by then. Should I pump up energy to 100?

Hmm, so it seems I should pump up mana, but I saw sceenshots of some elite, expertly build Avengers with very low mana (on this site)... I'am puzzled.

mana pots are easy to come by... you could make do with the mana you gain per level without investing in energy... if you have further mana problems, that what Meditation and Redemption is for...

It is rather easy actually. At first, use only one point in vengeance and pump the synergies instead, this way you will have good damage but low mana costs early, when your mana pool is small. Later you can add an insight merc (helps alot) and if you still face problems you can use a soj and or mana leech sources. A crescent moon amulet could help,if you can afford using this over a better amulet.

To sum up:
1) You do leech with Vengence, but because your physical damage is relatively low (mostly elemental damage), you need to make sure your AR is good enough to hit consistently
2) Don't put points into mana
3) Don't boost Vengence until later
4) Expect to drink lots of blue potions
5) Use life/mana charms and look for +mana as a mod on your 2nd ring (assuming other is Raven).

I am in that mid-level limbo (36 I think) building my first ever Avenger, and mana is a problem for me too. Mana burn is a killer, but other than that, it's bearable. Good luck!

Something else that helps until your mana pool is larger is mana-per-kill items (or Tir runes in sockets). Vengeance does some nasty damage, so if you get mana-per-kill close to the cost of your Vengeance, you should be close to breaking even except against big bosses.
