OT: What does it mean to you to be part of the SPF?

Just wondering everyone's take on what it means to them to be a member of this place?

(OK, so I haven't started a thread in a while :p)

It means that at age 41, with two kids, a wife, a very demanding job, a mortgage and several loans, I cannot afford to play better games than D2........

I like it here. I do enjoy playing on Battle.Net with my close friends, but other than that its just a bunch of little kids who enjoy spamming stupid junk. They message you whenever they see a high level, and plus ITS FULL OF HACKING.

This is a forum where I can share my love of D2 (and D3, WHEN it comes out. SOON. PLEASE?!?!?!) and play in a non spamming, no hacking environment.

For myself
Encouragement
Enlightened (what I mean is to ask a question it will be answered sensibly and correctly without flaming)
Correctness (with regards to builds)

And the most important to myself is that not everyone has been playing this game as long as others (i.e., not everyone has found a Cahans ring) even though they probably have ?

Chris

Means alot, without the forum I probably wouldn't play this game anymore. The forums keeps the interest up, you always get inspired to try some new sometimes whacky builds that someone else have told you about.

And almost everyday I get a good laugh when reading a funny thread

After two years I've asked myself that question a few times. :)

I'm still around because of the forum members, old & new. I reallly enjoy playing the game, but I also enjoy reading about accomplishments, and answering questions for newer players. I also count on the fact that I can post a question myself, and it will be answered quickly & accurately.

This place also gives me an alternate identity - a place away from real life. Becoming moderator allowed me to contribute in a unique way. And I appreciate the opportunity.

I'm a member of four D2 forums, and this one is my favorite by far.

Getting HC characters killed by fire and traps and posting them here to be ridiculed!! :P

Seriously though, its a great and helpful community to be in.

What it means to me to be part of the community it takes

Intro Thread (you know who you are *shakes fist*)
Give your opinions on most things
Kick someones shins at least once
And not cheating

P.S: Durf! Time fer a new 'tar, its a month overdue!

The SPF has been a great place to further my D2 interest, and to also help me become un-noob (I can actually beat Hell now :P )

Despite of that, you are still a nub!

The SPF have kept my interest in the game very high despite of almost all my friends dropping the game. It has also have been entertaining with its threads and vibrancy (sp?)

Most of all is the friends I made while being here.
