OT: other games with necros??

I just love the concept of a summon necro. Any other games (PC) with a decent summon necro char?

I'd like to know as well...think that WoW has a necro in it. Even I need a break from diablo once in a while.

As far as minions go, WoW has the Warlock, who can summon one demon at a time (imp, succubus, voidwalker, felhound, infernal), and the Hunter, who can train a pet to fight at his side.

So no hordes of boney underlings, unfortunately.

edit: That said, the Warlock bears the most resemblance to the necro. He also has the ability to cast curses on enemies and has some direct damage spells, as well as the ability to locate and control demonic enemies. See worldofwar.net for more details.

The necro in eq is the most powerful solo character in the game. His "pet" is a bad mofo.

Can only have 1 tho. But thats all you need with spells such as fear and clinging darkness.

Ah the good old days of eq.

Before Diablo 2 I liked the Necromancer in the Id/Raven FPS Hexen 2.

Actually, that's what attracted me to diablo 2, as after the box at EB attracted my interest I read within about diablo's necro...and bought it...heh heh

well i did some research/asked some friends and they recommended

Guild wars, when it comes out. Necro will have summon abilities but they lose health over time

Neverwinter Nights, one of the expansions..has "horde" in the name. you get to be the "palemaster" which has necro written all over it. cool summons but Im not exactly sure how they work
