OT - Best Diablo2 Music

Maybe this has been covered in a thread at some point, but not since I have been lurking/posting. What do you guys listen to when playing d2?

Edit: I've never listened to music while playing. Now I have the hard drive space to rip all of my CD's to my compy! ;)

I just usually play my winamp, which basically is only just a small list of 20 something songs by Greenday, Jesse Macartney, Kelly Clarkson, Simple plan and some chinese artists. It really helps act as a pressure reliever while playing HC.

I use iTunes on my PC, and generally I listen to either:
1) whatever album I'm into at the time. For example, right now I'm big into the Futureheads, but alternating between Beck's Guero and Zero 7; or
2) electronic music. I'm a huge fan (not saying I'm portly, I'm saying I like it a lot). I think it's good for playing games because beats drive people, they can tend to be a little repetitive so you kind of lose track of time, and you're not often concentrated on lyrics so you can pay more attention to your game.

BUT, I bet not many people would agree with me, solely because no one listens to electronic music really. Oh, and I listen to beats that I make, too.

The types music I listen to usually varies, but my current D2 playlist contains:

Bara no Seidou by Malice Mizer
Dix Infernal by Moi dix Mois
Conan the Barbarian Soundtrack
Conan the Destroyer Soundtrack
Shadow of the Moon by Blackmore's Night
Shine by Edenbridge
The Middle Earth Album by Glass Hammer
The Silent Force by Within Temptation

back when Zelda was the ONLY game for me and my best friend we would always play ACDC - Back in Black everytime we beat Gannon. I've yet to pat a character, but when I do, you can guess which song's goin' on - loud.

As for everyday play, whatever the random play cycle of my 6.9 GB of digitized music brings up. Buena Vista Social Club, ATM.

i have a sound system next to the computer so i just make the comp sounds low ( so i can hear the battle roar ), and play music on the "big" system. the cd's that are next to the comp and sound system are as follows...

AFI. ( older albums )
Left Over Crack.
System of a Down (old albums, not a big fan of the new one).
The Pianist sound track ( nothing like listening to classical music while playing diablo  , plus Chopin is one of my favorite classical composers).
Bach. ( same as above )
Andre Segovia ( the worlds greatest guitar player EVER, also classical )
The Mars Volta.
At the Drive in.

and a few demo cd's that i made of my own music. mostly just my guitar work. i like to play it sometimes to see if i can improve anything...whell i am my own worst critic...

cheers, C.T.

Right now I mostly listen to country music, Modest Mouse, or Dave Mathews Band, but I listen to all sorts of music.
@ChaoticTwitch I saw MarsVolta in concert last year, they opened for Tool, and MarsVolta sucked, worst band I have ever heard live, although their recorded music isn't that bad either.

yeah ive heard some bad stuff about their live shows. i just like the originality of their first albumb, good stuff. and experimental. maybe they should've stayed as "At the Drive In" ? i dont know. still the albumbs were beside my comp so...

cheers, C.T.

edit: @ lasagnaman. most of the time i just listen to the game too. but sometimes i feel the need for some different different than the same theme songs over and over again.

Rock for me

I got my led zeppelin box set ripped to my computer. I pop on winamp and just start "Ramblin' on" Then i play till "the levee breaks" haha o well peace.

I usually don't listen to music, but when I do I mostly listen to:

Tool
Breaking Benjamin
Linkin Park
Project 86
A Perfect Circle
Papa Roach
Gravity Kills
Godsmack (especially I Stand Alone!!!)
NIN
and a few others

1. Hardcore rules.

2. The Mars Volta are hilarious live. The singer needs a cape.

3 Electronic music rules. I love listening to Plastikman, Squarepusher, and Autechre while playing, among others. Also a lot of rock, some country, and the occasional jazz or classical cd.
