just a simple question

if you are a fb sorc then i would do hydra, hydra rocks since each fb coming out of its head does the damage listed, so pretty much the damage listed x 3 in the case that they all hit

The Hydra is pretty, and that's about it. The casting delay sucks and each fireball does pitiful damage.

I say go for FO. Easier to spam, harder to avoid the bolts, and smack a full orb into a lightning immune's face for bigger damage.

well, that's why i have chain lightning. between each hydra i can cast 2 lightning bolts. it's actually quite effective if i have 50-70 fcr

Definately go Hydra for style points. They can also be very useful for casting around corners, etc to see if there's anything coming.

Style points are great, until you get to hell. FO, because it's at least as good as hydra with 1/2 the points invested.

Hydra doesn't do enough damage, and it casts slower than orb. But i do have a lvl 80 hydra sorc for norm rushes and for fun.

FO is a great skills and you only need a couple points into CM to make it effective in hell.

lol hydra has 2 synergies + mastery, fo has 1 synergy + mastery, choice seems clear to me when u think of cl has lots of synergies to be usefull

No he's saying FO is better because only 1 synergy is required. Well, actually it's more like 26 pts versus 70, and imo FO is still more effective.
