no cd patch

hi.

i ended up with broken CD-ROM the other day. i am playing diablo 2 original 1.11 version, meaning i got the original cd, not a pirat version. now i can't play this game anymore if i don't have a CD-ROM. i know from before that there is a no cd patch somewhere on the web, and i found it but it wont work. i don't know why..

can some1 help me out with this issue ? does this no cd patch even works with the original version ? ?

Unofficial No-cd patches are illegal, and many contain malicious code.

However, you can legally mount an image onto a virtual drive, but that requires the cd to create the image.

IE: Can't help with no-cd 'cracks.'

I think there's a thread stickied somewheres about broken CD's/lost keys, but basically you can send the broken CD back to Blizzard with $9.95 and they'll replace it for you.

If you have the CD you can mount it (that's how I play if anyone wants instructions), but you do need the original CD.

CD cracks are not acceptable on this forum, including for running multiple instances. The modified .dll IS allowed however.
