New Runeword? Blood (4 Socket Weapons?)

I can't confirm this is 100% real, however I've seen 6 people claim it to be real, one of them being a very good friend whom I trust. Here is a screenshot of it:

I've got the Jah El and Um, and whenever I manage to get my hands on a Ber, im going to attempt make one, although the Enigma temptations will be very very strong. Like I said, a very good friend of mine says its real and hes seen it, so im willing to try to make one. But I definitely don't reccomend anyone else try it just yet.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, the SS is courtesy of a site that is not to be named.

Very secksi. I like the deadly strike. Definitely up there with Botd. Too bad 4 Sock (elite) weapons are quite hard to come by.

Well unlike a lot of the fake shots that are circulating, this one at least has all the rune properties included in the stats, so that makes me more inclined to believe it.

It also includes the two most beloved runes for blizzard, jah and ber, as all the high end runewords they've released so far have one or the other in them.

<cynic mode engaged>
And again as per all the top runewords blizz release, it's out of range of a lot of people, with the only way to get this seemingly would be to trade for them, perhaps it's a high quality fake designed to waste these runes, and reduce the number of them on the realms?
<end cynic>

(*sigh*)

Third time I've responded to this same post in the past fifteen minutes, second time posted by the same poster. As I posted in both threads in the Stats forum:

The Blood screenie is from *sodapopinski (see text in upper left corner), who is a known runeword faker and has since admitted that this is fake as well. A few people told me they could see evidence of photoshop in that screenie as well, but I'm not that skilled.

This guy has posted three or four fake runewords over the past two months, all of which he's admitted about ten posts down his own thread. Has he now hired a publicity crew to spam his screenies all over the forums?

a fake runeword would be easy to edit in single player.

All it takes is a socketed item and the runes. Stick the runes in, then modify the item stats to show up the name and mods.

Well, he would have had to have editted the /whoami response, the /users shows the same result on open b.net, but the /whoami doesn't show character name. So it still takes some editting.

that part is easy to photoshop. do /whoami on battle.net with inv open. Printscreen.

Then combine that half of that the screen with the inventory half of the 'runeword' screen. Its very simple.

I am really not 100% sure how easy to edit the runeword is... I actually *not sure* that it's edit the name of a runeword (in single player). But i dont think its impossible, nor do i think it is extremely difficult.

Nice one, I like it, but since in all my time I never had a JAH or BER the chances of having both are slim.............ssssssssssssssssooooooooooooo its just something kool to look at!

I think I could make a fake runeword, even though I'm awful at Photoshop. It would be like cut and paste... you take a bunch of words from Diablo II items and mix them together to create some runeword name. Then copy an item name, and the rune names, reqs, and mix in a bunch of good mods. Then make the black square you put them on translucent and paste it over a picture of the 'runeword' that you made on single player. It would actually probably look wrong, but it might work.

The same screenie and question was posted last week on the amazonbasin.com and resolved as being a fake.

This has inspired me to start up the ol' Photoshop and make a fake to show how easy it is to fake one. Also, notice many Um's and Ist's in his inv.

yeah i noticed that too...

also i think that blood was actually an 07 runeword with the same runes but it was Jo Ber El Um instead of Jah Ber El Um.
