Need Serious advice with my WW PvP Barb

I've just started dueling on ladder after taking my time building up my characters, and decided to get my feet wet.

But I'm having major problems with the following classes:
FOH Paladin - Kills me in one hit
Blizzard sorc - Kills me straight away
Lightening Javazon Same again - deaded

I'm lvl 89 with a WW Barb

My Equipment which i try and change with who'm I'm fighting, but still kill me in one hit with lightening damage

Arreats, with 40%ED
Enigma
Can duel wield with BOTD BA, Beast BA or single wield with Stormshield (40%ED)
Amulets - Either Highlords or Maras
Vertigobelt or Thundergods
Goreriders
Steelrends 40%ED and 17 strength
BK 4ll and ravenfrost rings

My stash is really full of max dam/ar/life charms in various sizes with a bo and combat charm

I have wizzard in my stash but dont know when to use it plus i use demons for the ar boost.

My resistances in hell are 75/75/85/75 85LR with thundergods

My life after BO is 3600 and def after shout is 15,000

Please could someone give me tips on other equipment i can use to stop me getting killed in one hit with the above classes and have at least half a chance to get a hit in.

In the two days ive started dueling ive got 2 full mules of ears (my own ears) :surprise:

Any help would be very appriciated

The FOH paladin and Blizzard Sorc will be negating your resistance by -150 and up to ~-300 respectively. So you're going to need to stack resistance against these players. I suggest you get two four socket monarchs, socket one with perfect topaz and one with perfect sapphires. That's 160% res light and cold. That pretty much covers the paladin unless he's wearing other items like griffons (possible) so you might want to stack even more if you notice you are still getting hurt a lot. For the cold sorc that's just the beginning, here are some cheap anti-cold gear swaps: Sigons boots (40%), arctic belt (40%), Maras Ammy (30%), Thawing Potion (50%, 10% max.) With the shield that's 320% and 10% to max, so you're extremely likely to be at 85% positive resist going into that duel. If you STILL get hurt, put a raven frost on, but generally you should use caster rings (2x 10%fcr) so that you have a chance in hell of actually catching the sorc.

As far as the charged strike zon goes, just make sure you have 85% light res, though you may need to stack if they have -% gear (look for a naked zon head, usually indicates griffons eye.) If you have enough resists, don't use a shield, dual weild with your beast.

Stack resist vs FoH and use tgods+soem % absorb vs all three.

Your life seems pretty low, you should be at atleast 4.5k life.

Vs all three classes try to use duel wield of botd+wiz and use range vs the javzon to beat.

Really you just need to learn how to aviod the attacks of those classes

Not only is this wrong in the sense that this is not you're only option, but it's entirely unhelpful. "Don't get hit" isn't a valid strategy description.

Thanks for the advice ppl, just need to get a couple of 4 socket monarch's from somewhere

please advise what a soem % absorb is thanks, sorry if i sound like a noob, oh silly me i'am one

Also not sure what i can do with my life, think my bo is around 37, should i change my dam/ar charms for bo skillers. I do have maximum block though when wearing ss

How many points did you put in str/dex/vit? That could be a determining factor. Your str should be around 100 or 86 if you're really tweaking. And dex should be enough for max block with ss, that's generally 136 (iirc) before +dex equipment.

This will give you at least 280 points to put into vit.

Sorted my Vita out thanks now got around 4200, silly me still had around 70 stat points unspent, don't know why i was saving them

Definately lots of thanks to u ppl's

Killed my first blizz sorc - :winner:

Killed my first FOH Pala, neva even really hurt me, he left :winner:

Must not get over confident, still lots to learn now for the hammerdins and necros there dam hard.

Ohh got 2 try a lightening zon yet

But thanks again
