Naga BvB questions

I'm making a naga bvb for the first time and I was wondering exactly what gear to use. I'm assuming a low def build would be better (since the dmg gains with a naga from str are less than that of a bh and lighter armor=more maneuverability), but definitely correct me if I'm wrong. My main question is what to use for helm/gloves? Should I use the classic sigs combo or is there a better alternative (on a low def barb). Also, my naga happens to have massive ar (200+ unsocketed). Would it be worth it to use two angelic rings, or one angelic ring and some sort of str ring? Thanks.

Would not advice in using sigs, but 2 angelic rings and amu is the usual combo.
Even if you are going to be a 'low' def bleeder, imo you still should aim for as good high def wargloves (with str on it), warbelt (str life fhr) and grimhelm (fhr life 90 ed) as you can get your hands on. For bvb purposis you will max shout eventually anyway. ANd having 3k def is better than 1.8. Not much, but why not be the best u can be? If it reduces the chance to be hit by 2 % then do it...

You can experiment with rings, but vs def barbs wear both angelics. Vs other twichers try wich works best for u. Look for 9 min 1xx ar str ring + adds as a angelic supplement

you could get a naga barb with high defense too, just use -req items
naga requires 121 str
-30req ornate requires 119str
-req (dont remember if it was -20 or -30) pavise requires 94str - and a full req one 133 str

I dont feel like making the calculation whether strenght/dex gloves are better than the AR from sigons gloves/helmet


Actually recently Ive decided to try a naga barb too, but my gear isnt the best + everyone is using dupes at my realm. The question is should I use my own BO, or should I make a lame barb with level 1 BO - and get BO/shout from other barb.

lorg- thanks for the advice. do you really need fhr though for a bvb? i didn't think it matter unless you got ww'ed into while not ww'ing, and then you're probably going to lose anyways.

fledgeling- yeah if only i could get my hands on a nice -req nate (not many on ladder yet). definitely don't be a barb that relies on other barb's warcries though- definitely very lame.

for gloves u could try frostburns,cold dmg, adds a bit of dmg 5%and increases mana pool40%.
or u could try bloddifst, fhr and life never hurt, or some +str res gloves or w/e.
u could always use a 3 soc grand crown[ or lower str req helm w/e], your choice of pgems, 1xx life ruby / 30 str amy anyone/300 ar dia [p dia is 100 ar iirc]. course u could always use wormskull for poison dmg lol, dont recommend it tho, just sayin.i dont mind using sigons on most chars, pvp being 2nd to mf for me but, sigs can hold its own against most id say ona decent barb. pre buff bo with +2 weaps n tarn then toss on your choice, for cheap and easy id probably go with bfist/frost and soc helm or grim with fhr life hi def. i dunno, these guys nailed it im just throwing some cheap suggestions at ya. dont forget uniques, duskdeep adds dmgf reduced by 7 after the pvp penalty, that can add up with more dmg reduced gear, i duno. im sleepy. o yah definately use 2 angelics rings, unless u get as lorg stated 9 min 1xx ar + str ring, then i would switch, but mostly use angelics .

Like barty stated. Extra fhr does not hurt you. If you can afford it go for it. The other may do a short ww that nicks you. If you got no fhr then he has enough time to get a full ww in, before you can recover...
Same goes for resistances. They are not 'needed', but i like to have at least some poison and cold res if possible. Many have for example poison dmg on their weapon.
