Mual Bears- Are they still good?

Well i had admired bears for quiet a while but i had never got around to make one (yes im a little late) so I've seen them do quite well in .9. However knowing that defense is now an issue in PvP maybey a PvP Mual Bear could work in .10? Tell me what you think.
 
Needs 1337 gear now a days. Even more then .09. Bone Armor, Tornado, Hammer.

All mean mucho trouble to tge strat of multi hits

1.10 melee is pretty much trying to 1 hit casters
 
Whats a good 5 or 4 frame weapon for werebear? You need 120ias for 5frames and 163ias for 4frames on zerker axe, 82ias for 5frames and 108ias for 4frames on phase blade, and 102ias for 5frames and 128ias for 4frames on warspike. So that pretty much narrows it down
 
Level 9 PvP bear is possible with Khalims Will =)
Even if you dont win its still neat to be able to try with a 9 werebear!
 
In the right hands they can be good. In the hands of someone that has no clue, then no. Basically the same as 1.09 really, but to a further extent. Hybrid Maulers fair better though.

Anything is possible.

With wind druids being more popular in 1.10 there are not that many discussions or ideas being exchanged for maul bears.

Then again not much has changed since 1.09 for a maul bear, but there are some new equipment choices.

Like someone mentioned, now it is about chasing casters and landing one hit kill attacks.

So attack speed is important because you don't have the time to swing away at a caster when their attack can kill in one or two hits.

Also attack damage is important so that you kill in one or two hits.

Therefore rabies and fireclaws are more viable since they can inflict alot of damage in one or two hits.

There are not that many weapon options available for a fast and hard hitting maul attack, especially at 4 frames.

You will have to sucrifice weapon speed for damage and aim for a 5 or 6 frame maul attack.

Also aim for is very high or maxed resists, not that easy, since this is important now in 1.10 against casters.

Then again anything is possible with time and effort and I would like to see a successfull maul bear build.

I still have a maul bear and will improve my maul bear over time.
 
Put 1 point in Maul and more in Fireclaws, then charge up Maul with about 6 hits or so and use Fireclaws. It seems surprising to me when people want to Max Maul and not use Fireclaws since 1.10, only 1 pt in Maul (more with + skills items of course) can charge it up for Fireclaws, which would get Maul AND Fireclaws (rather than just Maul) benefit. Correct me if I'm wrong....Fireclaws gets benefit from a charged up Maul right (ie the phys damage from Maul and the fire damage from Fireclaws)?
