MFing Full Light Sorc...Tals set vs occy/shako?

I am looking into building my "uber" full lightning sorc and have been struggling between full tals set or an occy/shako or maybe a griffeons eye if I can snag one of those......

I want to be able to run hell baal pretty easily and wonder which setup would be better(result in more good drops per day)

I like the survivability provided by Tal's for HC, but otherwise.... I've done the math - this is more fact than opinion.

I wish there was a way for me to test this all out...like compare my resists in hell between the 2 setups...or however many setups I wanted to try...

The best use for Tal's set is the Meteorb build (or variants like Orbball), anyway it's good for dual Fire/Cold tree builds.

Light sorcs need too much FCR to equip Tal's set.

So go the other way if you can afford it.

^BS. Tal's can still reach 117% FCR, and is perfectly viable. The best part is when the Bnet kiddies start throwing insults around, then you clear the entire throne room for them as they die to the monsters. That being said, I have 2 Full-Tal's Light sorcs, 1 partial-Tal's Light sorc, and 4 others in "mixed gear." I love them all.

The Ultimate Lightning Sorc

Griffons (light rbf), Maras, Vipermagi (um or light rbf), Arach, 1 Soj, 1 life/mana ring, Crescent Moon, Spirit, Magefist, Wateralk, Torch, Anni. CtA+Spirit on switch. Infinity merc.

117 fcr easy, full resists easy, 2K life easy, 1K mana easy, -50 to -65 ELR. I cannot express the utter devastation this buid does on pvm. For 8 player games throw in 3-6 light skillers.

Yes, no MF, but who needs MF. The big buck are on high-end socketables, charms and gambling/crafting anyway.

well....I was able to attain full tal's and a sorc torch....along with finding the unique grim shield and putting a Pdiamond in it.....I do kind of wish I had faster cast rate and more resists....my boots and gloves SUCK...my rings are poo...and I need an anni...my magic find is...I believe 320%? and I found the set colossus blade(don't think thats worth anything anymore) and the set ward(not worth anything I don't think anymore either)....

hrmm.....I do like glowing though.....

how much str do you guys suggest....is it worth it to go for a spirit?.....I found a regular monarch I could use my socket quest on...what do you guys think?

You can't reach 117% FCR with Tal's + Lidless. Spirit is the only way.

As I've mentioned countless times, Spirit gives back everything you invest to wear it and then some.

Yep. I made a spirit on my sorc and rolled a 35 fcr. Of course not everyone is that lucky, but if you get anywhere close to that, you will have a good chunk of your percentage needed to hit your breakpoint.
