Matriarch Aphrodite Tri-Element #5

Hi Everyone!

I haven't visited here in a while because RL has finally caught up with me. :sad2: I still find time to play though. It took me two months to Mat my latest sorc. Ok, she's twinked and is just a variation of my last sorc. Below is some info:

Matriarch Aphrodite lvl 86
Strength 156
Vitality 304
Dexterity 25 (base)
Energy 35 (base)
Life: 1563
Mana: 828

Sorc Equipment
Full Tal's
-Lightning Facet in Mask
-Lightning Facet in Armor
-Lightning Facet in Orb / Arch-Angel's War Staff (Shiver Armor) on Switch

Shield: Spirit (35% FCR)
Rings: 2x SoJs
Gloves: Magefist
Boots: Aldur's

Merc Ahsab's ( lvl 86/ Holy Freeze) Equipment
Helmet: Guillaume's Face socketed with IAS jewel
Armor: Gladiator's Bane socketed with PTopaz
Weapon: Tomb Reaver (Shael/Amn/Amn)

Skills
Keep in mind I have full tal's and +12 to all skills because of equipment. The orb has +2 to all masteries. I have one point in all pre-reqs, one point in Telekinesis, one in Static, one in Teleport and one in Warmth. The points for Shiver were saved by the staff on switch.

Fire Tree
Fire Wall = 20pts (Damage 7655-7728)
Fire Mastery = 7pts

Lightning Tree
Charged Bolt = 20pts (Damage 278-295)
Lightning = 15pts (Damage 3-5312)
Lightning Mastery = 3pts

Cold Tree
Frozen Orb = 20pts (Damage 512-536)
Cold Mastery = 1pt

Other info:
Resists were maxed at 75%. This is my first sorc with base energy. I hated it until I got to the mid 50's. I chose not to use Insight on my merc so I relied heavily on Leaf and mana pots until she could wear tals. She also had on Skin of Vipermagi and Harlequin's Crest. Hell Forge gave me ELD, UM, and HEL in that order.
The battle with the Ancients was easier than I thought. It was my first try. I set it to p1 although this sorc can handle up to p4. Well this is what I remember of their stats:

Madawc: Fire Immune/Lightning Immune
Korlic: Fire Immune/Cold Immune
Talic: Fire Immune/Cold Immune

I was teleporting everywhere. I took out Madawc first with Frozen Orb, then Talic and Korlic with Charged Bolt. My Merc I kept alive so that he could buy me time to cast the spells.

Baal and company were easy. I kicked it up to p3 before fighting them. He drops a Gut Siphon Demon Crossbow for all my troubles.

That's all I can remember atm because I beat the game a few hours ago. I really had fun creating and leveling this character. I plan to max lightning which will take this character to lvl 91. I'll also put the rest of the attribute points into Vitality. It's difficult to find the time to play but I manage. Thanks for reading!

Congrats on the Tri Elemental Matriarch, I cannot imagine how difficult this would be. I've only just started to dabble in Dual Element Sorcs, I'm a Pure Single Element Fan myself but big congrats on this one.

Thanks. It does take a lot of patience. Helps if the character is twinked too. I make them because they have several spells to use which mean I don't get bored. They're not the most powerful since the points are split between all trees but they are fun for me.

Good job. Archmages are very nice!

How would you rate the strength of each tree in your build? In what order?

Very nice matriach. Congratulations.
I get mixed up with two elements at times, can't imagine how it would be with three.

@stephan - Fire Wall is the strongest, then Frozen Orb and finally Charged Bolt/Lightning. Lightning is mostly used a synergy to charged bolt since I don't have 117 fcr for this build. If you can keep your merc in front of your sorc, then it doesn't matter which is stronger since he can keep them busy while you cast away.

@maxicek - I use a mouse and to keep me from being confused, I assign Frozen Orb to left click the other spells will alternate on right click.

Thanks again guys!

I've never tried a tri-elemental sorc, but it sounds pretty fun to play, did you just pick your favorite skills on the sorceress just to make it more enjoyable? because I'm getting an idea for a tri sorc like that :) Congrats on the Mat. Not very often theres a sorc without energy shield too, but you managed to get a great life pool. Not worrying about immunes with a slightly weaker type of character is definately a good way to go if you ask me, good work.

Thanks dysgenics! Mana shield wasn't needed for this build. Just keep your merc in front of your sorc or teleport out of the way to avoid danger. The equipment my sorc has gives lots of life points. I also have many charms of Vita in my inventory. It took a while to get them because I've been playing for a while. Since I didn't need to put points into Energy, I could then place points into Vitality where it would do the most good. The spells I chose were from trial and error. This is my fifth tri-element and I would favor this one because of my play style.
