MAC running Diablo II? Help Plz

Hey all. I just upgraded my MAcintosh to OS X. WHen i try to install my D2, it says I "need an OS 9.1 or higher classic folder" if i get the newest patch of Diablo will my OS X run D2 or what do i have to do? any help will be appreciated

[EDIT] IF i install the "Macintosh OS X NAtive Installer" on the blizzard site will it fix my problem?

I haven't personally run D2 on a mac, but couldn't you switch on the OS9 Classic environment for this? The option is there in OSX (should be as an icon in the taskbar).

Well my comp doesn't have the OS 9. on my taskbar, but the DL on blizzard seems to be working

There is an OS X based installer for Diablo 2 / LoD that negates the need for running Classic on your Mac. However, there are some video issues with OS 9 and OS X meaning a lot of slowdown when playing. I highly suggest switching to software rendering (instead of OpenGL) and turning down shadow details. It's a shame, otherwise it would work perfectly :undecided:

I play my Diablo on a MAc. The only way I can play is it if you download Diablo (Carbon) from the Blizzard Website. Use this to open up Diablo, not the OS 9 version.

Yes, Downlaod this and Install it and it will fix your problem.

They can yep, Apple released a program called "BootCamp" (still in beta) which sets up the partitions and provides you with the Windows drivers. PC World over here in the UK have the MacBook Pro listed in the top Windows laptops
