Interesting guide! I found it particularly interesting because I have developed my own hybrid WW/Conc barb long before this guide appeared and my experience with it has been very good (both in PvM and PvP).

Just a few remarks:

- you suggest to put 180-200 on STR. If you wear an Enigma Archon Plate, all str you need is 103. The equipment you suggest will add some 180 to it.

- you should have enough DEX to get 75% blocking at lvl 99. In order to get there, you need 222 DEX. But the equipment you list adds 90 the DEX, and therefore all you really need here is 132. EDIT: I would use a shield and a sword or axe BOTD!

- You also say VIT shoul be over 300 at lvl 99. But the entire game gives you 510 points to distribute. If you put 103 into STR and 132 into DEX, then you can't get more than 275 base here (without items and charms).

Neuro, you can only get 505 points to distribute over the levels (since you start at 1, that makes 98 levels at 5 each and three quests). Similarly, you didn't take into account your starting barb stats of 30 str and 25 vit. That would bring you to 320 at 99 running with 132 dex and 103 str base.

You are right! There is 1 quest that gives +5 points and therefore we have 98x5+5x3 = 505. Thanks for correcting me!

Anyway, 103 STR and 132 DEX seems to be a good guess (otherwise, if you use 2 Ravenfrosts, you can let DEX at 112 and add +20 points to VIT).

Dual ravens saves 40 dex, gives you a lot of ar and cold damage, as well as some absorb. 40 vit is a lot of life!

Could be even less STR and DEX if u have an annihilus charm (40 more points into VIT). Unfortunatelly I don't have one...

I posses IK maul, a unique "reaver" axe thingy, and a bloodstump maul i think.

My skills are in line with the guide so far.

Which should I use? is my stats screwed?

Other than these weapons, I have a 1320 defense armour, the highest in my life so far. Will the hybrid work?

The hybrid is great in PvM and average for PvP (probably a pure WW would do better here). I would put less points into str (see discussion above). Good barbs require expensive equip (dont expect to have a godly barb with cheap equip).

WW/Conc Barb Hybrid v1.5 final


When I started this build I was starting from scratch in the realms.
And I was a total newb to v1.10, which I’m enjoying very much. With the
final version of this guide/build marks the 86th lvl of my barb. Playing
in any section of hell save for Chaos Sanctuary (Hell) where I only
venture if I’m giving a friend a rush. His speed and versatility in
killing is unparalleled in any of my other chars. My necro can go places he
cannot when dealing with IM however he lacks the speed that my barb has.
My sorc matches if not surpasses in speed but looses something in the
way of versatility going through limited areas with light and cold
immunities. My pally is a sore reminder that he’s a party char only as his
versatility and speed matches none of my other chars. Lastly this build
is more designed for a 2-handed pole arm or spear type barb, however
any axe/shield, sword/shield, dual axe, and dual sword barb can use this
build just as easily.

Sounds like a tough build to play SP and untwinked. Most of the playing tips are limited to run if in in trouble and WW patterns. Most of your leveling ideas require help so maybe this build isn't viable for SP at all.

I have a question i have a lvl 61 barb with 20 conc, bo, shout, and almost mace mastery in NM. Do you guys think ill have enough hrm......"time" to max ww, and thus become hybrind ww/conc barb?

Ive seen nothing but positive feedback on this, and i recently made another barb, for pure ww, but i just want to be PvM. Now i would make a hybrid with either barb, but it would be so much easier with lvl 61. Should i keep lvl 61 or lvl up other? ( and im going for ik set btw)

my first post

i need some advice on raising my attack rating, please bear with me as this is my first barb and im SP so have to annoy others through forums.

here's my set-up.

level 68, and in act 2 im having ~50% chance to hit targets.

2239 attack rating for concentration and 1593 ar for whirlwind.

75 buffed dex and the only AR items i have are 1. 57 attack rating and 2. 5% attack rating bonus rings.

sadly im using a bonehew, which has no -target defense.

i have ww/conc/mastery maxed but no +skill items.

also, should i kill my might merc and use blessed aim merc? currently using a might merc and the damage bonus isnt quite good?

Level 68 for act2 Hell is quite low, your CtH is partly dependend on the difference in level between monsters and you. Try to level a little in NM. Your main problem is lack of integer AR though (percentage boosts only help if you have something to be boosted). Angelic combo is a trusted combo of course, but there are more options in the Classic set items that give AR/lvl boosts if you don't have an amu and ring.

Battle cry reduces the defense of your enemies. Even 1 point is very effective.

I just wanted to say that I am astounded that you revised it at least 4 times and made explicit reference to grammer and spelling. That frightens me, only because while many people here obviously are not native speakers of English, you seem to be one.
