LLD Rabies Druid?

Helm: +3 Werewolf/+3 Lychanthropy Pelt with 3 Perfect Rubys
Armor: Silk of the Victors with Perfect Ruby
Weapon: 5x Shael/1x Nef Dimensional Blade
Shield: Artisan's Tower Sheild of Deflecting with 3 Perfect Diamonds
Belt: Bladebuckle
Gloves: Bloodfists
Boots: Sander's Riprap
Jewelery: Angelic Combo
28 Skills + 12 Quest Skills = 40 Skills

5 Rabies
20 Poison Creeper
1 Oak Sage
1 Werewolf
1 Feral Rage
12 Lychanthropy

Haven't put it together yet, but the skill calculator says I can get my Rabies to 560-733 poison damage over 6 seconds. I hit the 5 frame breaking point, and I have a decent amount of life. The inventury would be full of life and strength charms.

Vitality: The rest

How does it look?

Damage is lacking... i got it to 10 damage/second with 50 poison res.
Considering a not super lvl18 zealer does ~1k damage (not calculated to actual damage).
Viper could be better with its res and less reqs
With a grush you could get some more skills...

edit2: With a skill layout like this:

1 werewolf
5 lycanthropy
1 feral
12 (max) rabies

1 oak
20 poison creeper

you get 1629- 1871 damage, a little better... but lacking life. But youre not tanking anyways so...

Hello there,

Being a LLDer on West i thought i could share some of my advice. :wink3:

Gear wise i would suggest:

Helm: Your +3 Werewolf/+3 Lychanthropy helm is perfect for buff but i would suggest a +3 rabies Lore or a +2 shape, +3 rabies rare (dream helm)

Armor: Vipermagi with a P ruby

Weapon: 5x Shael/1x Nef Dimensional Blade is fine

Shield: Artisan's Tower Sheild of Deflecting with 3 Perfect Diamonds is fine for casters but Vs melee your better off with Whistands

Belt: String of ears is your best friend

Gloves: Upped Bloodfists are a perfect option

Boots: Sander's Riprap are perfect as well

Rings: i would suggest sojs.

Ammy: +2 shape with life.

The reason i say u wont need angelics is because your ar will still hit around
9Kish with this setup i believe... You generally dont need more then 6K ar to hit most lvl 30's consistantly.

As for skills i think pedu said it right..

You wont need to worry about life.. remember you can always pre buff... My norm rushed lvl 30 Fury druid with 38 vita buffed has 4.1K life (ideal gear) so life is not going to be a problem. My charm suggestions would be ofcorse 15 Life scs.

Here's something:

If you are going for lvl 30, consider putting at least 1 in Fury. Using a 5shaeld, 1 Nef Halberd, you'll hit the bps for Fury and Rabies. With Nef, you'll be able to keep those melee characters off yourself while the rabies is working.

Hey guys, I know this post is REEAALLYY old, but... in 2006 I didn't even know what Diablo 2 was... ;D
Now, I need help. Can someone who HAS actually made a lld rabies druid, tell me if it's viable? I've been collecting gear for him during one month, because I really like rabies druid, it's my favourite char, but now, I've just calculated his damage, and, I've been pretty deceived... I have around 4k poison dmg over 10 seconds, with pvp penalty, and 75% res enemy, euh, we get like 166 poison damage over 10 seconds '-,-
Seriously, I've seen lvl 30 chargers and trappers killing characters over 80s Oo, I'm not planning to kill a lvl 80 sorc, but I want to at least be able to kill a lvl 30 bowazon... I do not have problem with chosing gear, I've played high lvl pvp Rabies for too long, and made lots of research concerning lld rabies... but still, it seems that 166 psn damage over 10 seconds seems pretty low.
Can someone share it's own experience with lld rabies? or someone who really knows if it's viable or not?

Allright, just made my lld Rabies. Need better gear yeah, but...

Gear:
Druid Pelt +3 rabies 3 os (3 pruby)
5 shael 1 nef War axe
Grim Shield Rhyme
Skin of the Vipermagi
Sander's (or Nat's or other res boots on switch according to my needs)
Bloodfists
Angelic rings and amulet
SoE (or another belt with res and so, like Nightsmoke or a rare with loads of fire res, fhr, and other mods that I don't recall)

Switch:
Spirit Sword (I hope everyone knows the switch thing with rabies druids)
random shield (Whitsans)

Lots of charms with life, and some with frw in stash.

My Rabies Druid stats:
Life : around 1700 with oak (need better prebuff gear and charms)
Rabies Damage: 4k (on switch, however it's the damage I deal. Need a better pelt though, would reach 5k with a 2shape/3 rabies pelt)
Rabies AR: 5k (need to find a hsarus belt for a boots belt combo, so it gives me even more ar when needed)

I've dueled with this guy, and he's pretty good. The damage is not the same as it is on a fully geared lvl 86 rabies, but with a couple of bites, and I won duels. Killed a plague/bowa lvl 30, a lvl 30 fire trapsin, and a low charger. The server where I am, there's almost no one low level dueling after the recent reset, but pm me if you wish more info, I play on us east, west, and europe as well, but I mainly play on another serv (no, no mods don't worry ;D).
