List of uber-capable builds

Hi all.

Just wondering how many builds are actually capable of completing an uber run without dying repeatedly/taking forever. I think we're mostly familiar with the 1pt smiter, but I hear many other builds can do it and wondered how many and how viable they were.

Can't find a thread related, if there is one then please accept my apologies and point me in the right direction.

kicker, frenzy barb, bowazon, jabazon, zealot, fury wolf, bear (dunno, just assume), summon necro,

anything that does physical damage fast enough, can take advantage of life tap, and maintain good resists.

cheapest would be smiter you can build one that can take 3 ubers at once with just pgem gears.

I know, I was wondering what other builds were viable.

I've never really played a necro. How does a summon necro leech life?

Beast, and they have life tap as a skill, add in enigma and some crushing blow and viola. I don't think you need beast though, I read here people just use urdar revives for the crushing blow.

i thought summon necs used decrep instead of tap.

Probably hunger bear. 4fpa (or was 5 max?) with massive life and lifeleech, stun, high crushing blow...

And you have forgotting warrior monk - assassin using fast dual claw attacks and ranged blade attack for IM problems.

Something I would like to see do Ubers... A bear sin. I mean, that 3fpa has to be good for something!

If I'm familiar with the 1pt smiter then it's safe to assume I know what life tap is. I imagine from the name "summon necro" that they aren't going to be putting much emphasis on melee/ranged damage, though, and wondered what their source of life leech was. I guess it's a lot easier to be condescending than to answer a question, eh?

summon necro dont have any life leech, they stay out of the harm or die.
i use to run ubers with summon necro and it takes a lot more effort than smiter.
you have to swap to 45++ summon gear, get your army, prebuff. and you might still die to meph when you tele stomp him and tries to run out.

also if you die in trist as a summon necro it is a PITA to get back on track.

Honestly I dont know why anyone would use a summon necro for uber except for the fun of it.

I wonder if my h-din can take on the ubers. he has high resists and does decent damage (11k)

no he wont, even if he does 20k hammer he still cant because ubers huge hp and hardcore melee.

basically you cant kill uber without openwound/crush blow and massive life leech. with the exception of summoner (still need crush blow revives)
