For YogiRat....
Another couple of hours last night with my trapper. Duriel went down solo with my trusty shadow tanking. Found some nice stuff for a starter necro +3 summon skelly head and a +3 clay golem wand. Rather nice.
Act3, slow progress, lots of xp, those little critters went down with my charged blot sentries. My mana addicition was proving costly so i had to scoop up all the booty that dropped to feed my habit. Staffs and wands were sold in town.
Got Khalims eye and eventually battled through to the Great Marsh. Things went a bit weird. I joined an Act3 game and there was a Sword wielding Amazon She was in Travincal and not one to turn down a free WP took the TP. The high council were sitting pretty. Level 22 now and feeling bold took them on. Stood back from afar and let the traps do their work. After a while they all went down but hold on, where's the flail? The steps to the durance were already open. Pressed Q and the quests were all completed.
Hmm, might as well have a look around. Entered the durance and slowly worked my way through the dungeons (so glad this was not nightmare) got the WP and created a new game.
Act 3 mephi should attract some people and yes it did. The sword wielding amazon. We teamed up and worked our way through. Up to Level 24 and Lightning Sentry, at last some improved fire power.
Got to level 3. Get ready for the bad boys! Set up the traps and tempted them over. Bremm was at his most worst, conviction aura and lightning enchanted. Rasim took the full force and went down like a sack of spuds. My amazon colleague had to pot straight away, my traps were causing more problems for us so a hasty retreat back to level 2 for some healing and rethinking.
The plan was run! Sprinted past bremm into the southernly room for breather, he didn't follow. Cleared the room, tp'd the amazon back in. Mephi was nothing compared to Bremm and went down without a wimper no goodies though just some assorted rares which were flogged to feed my worrying mana habit.
Onto act 4, my amazon colleague left. Level 24 and feeling bold I went solo. Fought my way through to Izzy. What a result. An ethereal pike which Rasim took striaght away and a +13 Energy Amu! Hoorah, feeling even more confident made it all the way down to the River of Flame and even got hell forge hammer. Took a break there and muled some things off and some gold.
Joined a kill diablo game, 8 players in all, total carnage and worked our up thought the chaos sanctuary. Exp was going though the roof, skelly mancers, baba, pala, and a few sorcs. A splendid team. Made progress here like a hot knife though butter. The screen shook and out comes Big D.
Fade! Get my fire resists up. A swarm of people all over big D. Then eventually a pause, ah he's dead, my CD spins up, the game pauses, what did he drop? I have no idea, by the time the game came back to me people were already in Harrogath. I was almost alone in the chaos sanctury. Must copy the music.mpq over to stop this happening!
So here I am standing in Harrogath, Level 27 and staring towards the Frigid Highlands.....
I am really enjoying this now everyone is back on a level playing field again. I intend to make the most out of the next couple of weeks. Happy days.
