Hello, welcome to a game thread that is sort of like Forums Mafia, but not. This is intended to be a nice little diversion to pass the time while we await the next game to start. It plays similarly to Forums Mafia, but has its own unique quirks, so if you intend to play, please read the rules closely!
Sign ups will open at 2:00pm PST. That's roughly four hours from the time this thread was created. Sign up by simply replying in this thread. The first nine people to sign up will be the players - all submissions beyond that I will have to pass on.

Roles:
There are three roles in the game:
The King: The end all, be all. If he dies for any reason, then the 'town' loses and the assassin wins. He knows he is the king, but nothing more. His victory condition is to survive.
The Assassin: His goal is to kill the King. To achieve this goal, he has a single-shot kill ability that he can use at any time. If the king dies, he wins. If he uses his kill ability and does not kill the king, then he loses and the town has won.
The Guards: Everyone else is a guard. Their victory condition is to make sure the king survives, even at the cost of their own lives. Every guard starts the game knowing who the king is.

Gameplay:
1. A lynch will occur every 24 hours. The person with the most votes on them, even if not majority, will be lynched and killed. If the majority of players (majority being equal to more than half the surviving population, rounded up) all vote for a player, then that player will be locked and will be lynched no matter what. Further votes will not be counted.
2. Dead players may no longer participate in the game.
3. If there is a tie but no lock, then the first person to reach the tying amount of votes will be the lynchee.
4. There will never be more than one person lynched per day. If players find a way to try to circumvent this rule, then the moderator reserve the right to randomly pick someone to kill. This random pick will be heavily weighted by spite.
5.[STRIKE] Every player must have a vote down at all times. A player's first post of a day must contain a vote for someone. Votes may be moved around after that as normal SOP[/STRIKE]. Redacted.
6. Every player must have at least one post per game day. (But please, if you don't think you can contribute to the game every day, consider twice before signing up. I don't want to discourage anyone from playing, but if nobody posts, then the game is boring.)
7. The game ends when either the assassin or the king dies.
