kicker vs zealot bs match up

how do u beat zealots, they too strong, first they charge u , instantly u get knocked back, then u get zealed, then charged and u die, u can barely land a kick. im not exaggerating, but this match up is really tough. help plz

Without having a kicker myself, my guess would be try to get them in a WoF/MB lock and then whittle them down with OW/Venom.

It depends on what tools you have available. High poison? OW? Trap and good mindblast? Teleport? Does the pally trigger lifetap constantly? Does he have a smite backup? What are your stats? Do you have less than 2K life or more than 3K, do you have max DR? What's your attack rating? All these things influence the tactics you use and whether or not you really have a chance at all.
 
Or you could say you're screwed vs a good charger. :D They usually have smite as back-up (even if it's only 1 point in it , it still hurts alot). It's almost impossible to stunlock a pala , let alone a charger. (vigor + shift charge = bye bye stunlock).
 
do the wake + mb trick. stunlock them to mess with their charges. run in, smack em a few times, rinse and repeat. it wont work all the time (a zealot was made to own other melee, trust me)
 
As lunatic said, stunlock wont work against any paladin with charge. They can simply use charge, and voila, they're out of the stunlock easily. Again'st a good full charger, you will die. Even against a zealot with 1 pt into charge, you'll still have a hard time. Sorry I can't give further advice as I use wwsins not kicksins.

Actually that's not true. The devil is in the details.

Stunlock doesn't prevent charge, that is true. But I have yet to be killed by a single charge with my kicker in any event. 95% of the time, they close with a charge and switch to either smite or zeal. Both can be impacted by stun. You can offset charge by dragonflighting them before they connect. If they try to charge again, you need to DF them as they are moving away to get charge distance, never allowing them to break off and come back at you. I make no claims that kick is superior to melee pallys generally, but the issues are more complex than you indicate. My kicker beats many melee pallys, though I admit that I am not the typical kicker by any stretch. If I beat a melee pally, they probably weren't very good to begin with as I'm pure anti-caster. But when I do beat them, even decent ones occassionally, I do it by using teleport, DF, OW, etc. Strategy is key vs. generally difficult opponents.

Pure chargers aren't that hard. They're usually one-trick-ponies that don't know how to handle their opponent staying right on top of them 100% of the time. Zealots are a lot harder and smiters, if they are good, are the best melee out there.
 
Haha this is what I will do to kill zealers. run away from zealer charge yep phoenix strike or blades of ice to the max then as the pally comes foward to you, you do the same then when he is in range of your screen pow! dragon flight and do this again and again he will die soon :) and if he use charge, dragon flight to the monster and escape dont try to parry it!
