item upping recipe of horadric cube

Read Arreat Summit again and pay attention to the word "Unique" in the recipe. Lem+Ko+PDiamond recipe only works for unique items, and there's no way to up a normal socketed item (gray items).

is it correct that when using the horadric cube recipe to up an exceptional armor to an elite armor (lem+ko+pdiamond), that it doesn't work with the prefix "superior" in the item?

i got this 3 socket superior (15ed) mage plate and i can't seem to up the darn thing, while i thought it was possible.

on arreat summit the recipe states that socketed items are possible to up, so it has to be the prefix. Am i correct?

oh and, the item has a grey colored title, it is not blue....

The recipes allow for the upgrade of rare (yellow) and unique (gold) items only. Magic (blue), plain (white), and socketed (gray) items cannot be upgraded.

If i would make an Enigma in the armor, it gets a golden name above right???

So is it possible to up the armor to elite once i made enigma in it? Probably not im guessing but it doesn't hurt to ask here

No, runewords are not considered unique items, so the recipe doesn't work. There's no way to up a runeword item.
