Idea's For Making A Solo Uber Paladin..

Sup, New To Site..

I never really used paladins back in the day, but now i can see for ubers..
chose paladins..

so i'm making a smiter.. for tristam ubers.. but i need pointers on a 'solo' smiter..

building is in the process.. currently have..

Reg Death Zerk Axe
Dusk Shroud Duress
Gore Riders
Strings
Storm Shield
2 ravens.
high lords
drac's gloves..

pointers plz..


also, this paladin has no skill placement.. at lvl 53.. give suggestions on skill builds plz

Great guide, btw:thumbsup: . Now my pally is 77 and he's fine, I still have to get him a decent weapon though...
I like most the fact that the guide gives you solid alternatives for different budgets, although better gear makes things easier, of course. I am, for example, fine with armor (use Forti but have Duress too) but lacking in weapon, helm, and charm compartment. From my experience, if you play carefully you can do very fine even with mid/low gear options.

If you use Death ba you need a lot of ias though...

good tutorial man.. the 1pt smite idea... if smite is over rated an only needs 1 point, then i should look more into it..

my main question really wasn't said correctly..

i wanted feedback on the 'best' items to use..

and a killer item build along with the skills...

from what i have already, can anybody give info on better or maybe different items that can be used in making a godly 'SOLO' uber pally..

There is no such thing, as it depends on what 'best' means. Some people prefer raw damage, some people prefer safely, while some people prefer convinence, etc. It also depends on your playing tactics. As for build, a typical zealot would probably be the best, unless you do smite duels. Even then, some people might just prefer a hammerdin with 1 point smite and gear switch. If you want some recommendation on gear, look at the rich section of the guide, under +damage. Or look at a PvP zealot or smiter guide and adjust accordingly.

The only thing I can say about the gear above is that you need resist charms. Treachery prebuff (as mentioned in guide) works as well. Since Meph's conviction is -125 (as far as I remember), you should stack ~30 resist all minimum.

I try to discuss various equipment alternatives, my equipment section is actually the longest section there. There were a couple things pointed out to me after I posted the guide, such as bloodfists and 'beast' berzerker axes, but even as it is, I have quite a bit of confidence in my guide.
