is ice bow a good bow to use with a cold arrow zon? if so how exspensive does this bow run?

Ice is an excellent bow for an Amazon using FA. It might be hard to trade for one since not a lot of people make them.

For this build, Ice is unbeatable. The only disadvantage is the high price, as it's a ladder-only runeword with high runes in it. So on non-ladder, there's a limited supply of them (and most owned by people who want to keep them), and on ladder, you have to deal with the high prices of the runes.

i was offered, on nl, 100 hr's for my sup +3 gmb ice...it is 201ed/+30%cold damage i think

Much less on non-ladder, since a lot more people made them last season. On ladder, probably about the same, since they both use similar value in high runes.

You can also use M'avina set if you want to focus on cold arrows. Of course it's not as good as unique/rw combinations but you can make a decent frozen-arrow based zon around it.

I have an ice bow on my rogue merc which spooks people out with her holy freeze aura. Awsome bow which I somtimes have on switch from faith for the lev 22 frost nova which goes off like crazy at 25% chance to cast on striking.

It was getting close to the end of ladder and I though I would try somthing a little different and made it in a bow that merc could use. It was and is great fun. :lol:

and for a frostmaiden i suggest to use a Ice MB this will give you a good firing speed

and here is he difference in bows i used:
Ice bow gmb +3 16x% ed 30% cold dmg: phys dmg (FA) 1.5k dmg
ice bow MB +3 14x% ed 30% cold dmg: phys dmg (FA) 1.1k dmg
and bow had 3.7k cold dmg from FA

ias on both bows (same gear): 95% ias
gmb fps: 9 fpa (frames per attack)
2.7 attacks per second
MB fps: 8 fpa (frames per attack)
3.1 attacks per second

ice bow is just marvelous if you have a good frostmaiden (i think mine is pretty nice)
and for merc use act 2 might merc with infinity

leohappy: i cant agree more but the build i use on my frostmaiden is far more superior to the mavina set but much more expensive to so (that always the case)

ice gmb is extreme rare on non ladder for my MB (wich has crap ed%) i was offer 22 sojs (europ scnl), and i want to keep my ice, ice is such a nice style on any ama if you only look at his stats it is just beautifull it slow youre enemy pretty heavy, I got a nice frostmaiden on scnl europe so if ya wanna see her just pm me

i just got a faith +1 skills 15 fanaticism, it almost broke me to buy this thing!! well anyway i know will never come close to geting ice but faith seems like a nice bow to use on FA am i right?

well try strafe instead... FA just needs much +skills and +%cold dmg , so i just suggest use mavina or forget about it~~

ICE is just the best way then mav set as frostmaiden is based on: freeze, HEAVY slow and some dmg

and ya can always make a nice strafer/multi with a 8 fps strafe
