How do you kill Hell ancients?

I haven't got it figured out yet how anyone can possibly kill the Hell ancients they all have some immunities and try as I might I am stuck and can't Best them. No help I play SP

SP is kind of tricky for an elemental character. If you are dual ele, it would be slightly easier. I think your best bet would be to stock up on potions, equip a melee merc fairly well, and keep spawning the ancients (tp, hit the altar, tp, etc) until there is at least 2 of them you can hurt - either through static or actual spell casting. There are lower resists wands you can shop, perhaps that would help - maybe not on breaking the immunities, but at least damaging the non-immune ones.

I play ladder on B.net, so with access to runewords like Infinity, many sorcs can take on the ancients and win. Unfortunately, SP does not have access to them.

Just keep respawning. It took me about 20 tries with my SP Orb/Fireballer and even then I had to rely on my Merc for the final kill. A Merc can't really tank two of them at once, so a dual-element build is almost a must, and you need to keep moving (teleport) until you down one or two of them.

Max block also helps a lot.

I know SP is a different thing, but this is how I do it on realm when rushing people:

Tal Sorc, max block Stormshield, defiance merc with medium items (Obedience/Reaper's, Duriel/eth Stone, Andy). I roll till only one is cold immune, as she's a Blizzard sorc. I tank them, me and my merc rarely die, I have ~1200life.

So it really is good to have block, some %dr and a mercenary to finish off the third one immune to your element.

well, it looks like im the only other single player person to post on this yet and here is how i did it. granted this took awhile, as soon as i hit the altar, i static'ed about 5 times then teleported to a corner. and then basically from there i orbed the 2 non cold immune ones a few times, then teleported to an opposite corner... basically repeated this strategy till one was dead and the second was almost dead. after killing the first two, the last was cold and fire immune but my merc just got him as he was already half dead from my static... good luck

Sorry, I am frustrated to avoid another term with replies like. With uber / end game equipment, you will kill them easily.
He is SP, so he has barely the chance to get twinked /end game gear unless playing 2 hours/day.

@lordrigormortis : PLz, give us a bit of your stats, lvl, gear and then we can advice you in a more constructive way. Others advices are good in terms of strategy. May be you need to lvl up your sorc and when feeling ease with other monsters, you can try the ancients.

well it looks like everyone is telling me about hte same things. I have tried that a number of times, doing the respawn thing but I t just wasn't cutting it so good. Oh well I guess Ill get it figured out soehow by continuing to tr. That or I'll keep; working on my car. The stupid thing... Any one know alot about chrysler imperials electric systems?

I just thought I would throw another option out there that worked well for me in SP with both my Meteorb and Enchantress.

With my sorcs I used a Fire Rogue with a plain non-upgraded WWS. I just teleported around in a circle while she fired away. I would throw out the occasional spell, but the Rogue really did all of the work. It's not the fastest method, but it is pretty safe since you don't have to go toe-to-toe, and your merc stays safe as well.

Edit: Don't try this with a Cold Rogue, they don't have nearly the range of the Fire Rogues, and a lot of their shots get wasted because of this.

I think I might try that thanks for giving me an original Idea.
