How do you activate Quest 4 Alkor

 can someone please advise how you activate alkors quest in part 3,
i have the flail and have destroyed the globe to open the door to the next part but cant get this alkor bit to start

You are supposed to go to the Kurast Bazaar, enter the Ruined Temple, and steal Lam Esen's Big Book. Don't die along the way, there's plenty of Unique monsters around, and also the only monster immune to Hammers.

Actually, the summoner type monsters in Act 2 are immune to hammers as well. What would have happened if they made those little midgets with daggers to be magic immune? I would have expected a lot of dead hamerdins. :D

Greater Mummies are immune to magic, but are also undead, which means their immunity is ignored. Wailing Beasts really are the only monsters that are immune to BH.

I don't know--'hammerdins' don't seem to take that many hits. Indeed, the little buggers seem to be more dangerous on dying than when alive (except that extra fast fanaticized pack supported by champions I hit yesterday).

This is true for other pure magical attacks as well, isn't it (a la Berserk and anything glowing that comes out of that pasty white fellow).

From all (not that much really :p ) the magical attacks there are in D2, only Blessed Hammer and Holy Boly ignore magical resistance of both demons and undead. How the ignoring of demon magic resists helps Holy Bolt is unknown, but somehow a fact.

As RTB says, to activate the quest go to lower Kursat and then go and see Alkor in the same game.

To complete the quest go to the Ruined Temple and get the tomb and then take the book to Alkor. This will also activate the quest (as well as complete) it. Watch yourself in the Ruined Temple because of its design its a great place for a stair trap also there is a nasty unique and boss pack in there!
