Hi guys, I'm Metalwing :)

Hey all, I'm Metalwing. I'm from Turkey, Ankara (Capital city style man :)). I'm playing Diablo 2 for 2 years. Let me tell you a little about myself:

Me: I'm an 18 year old 2nd year university student (Electrical and Electronics engineering), I play Diablo 2, DotA, KoF, sometimes Football Manager as well (I also joined some pvp tournaments at FM, but all were small ones. One time winner, one time runner up, a few times semi finalist, always one of the favorites).

I'm not very good at school, last term I could only pass 3 of my 8 courses (YAY). Actually until i started the university, i was a good student. But after University, I quited studying and attending classes. So I became worse and worse.

I do capoeira (for 5-6 months), will start gym workouts for capoeira after tomorrow (if only my legs would be better). I like watching football games (Especially Copa Libertadores. They rule), but i don't like Champions League too much. I think they don't play good football there anymore. I also like playing basketball.

Hmm, i can't tell you a specific genre of music that i listen to. I listen to every single song that I like. So there are capoeira songs, rap-hip hop songs, pop songs, some ethnic songs of Turkey, latin songs ... I can't tell you all of them :) list is too long :)

Oh yeh, food. My favorite section at an intro :) don't be jealous, but Turkish people know their taste :) we got the best cuisine on earth.

First 2 are ones of the best main courses of Turkish cuisine, third is one of the dessert, fourth is one of the best salads and appetizers of Turkish cuisine..

D2: Hmm, when it comes to D2 or any other RPG games, I like to play caster-summoner type of characters, so Necromancer is definitely my type. I played a lot of necromancers. I actually tried a sorceress too, but i just don't like them. They are too weak and they are just pure casters. I tried a hammerdin or lousy baby (this is how i call warcry barbarians :)) and they were not my type as well. Necromancer knows how to do it. Really. Got the best defensive, offensive and supporting skills in the game. My favorite merc is act 2 holy freeze merc with the name Azrael.

OVG: Hmm.. I play KoF, my favorite fighters are Kyo Kusanagi, Benimaru Nikaido and Iori Yagami. I pick this trio in every single game i play, I even pick them at capcom vs. snk games. Yeah, yeah.. I know, you'll say that both capcom and snk got better characters. But i never liked any capcom characters, and i only liked Genjuro Kibagami (in the game Samurai Showdown) from SNK except my trio and he sometimes makes me replace Iori with him.

I play DotA as well, I like to play ganker-support role. My favorite heroes are N'aix, Rexxar and Clockwerk (one from Sentinel Str tavern, one from each str tavern :)). My favorite items are Armlet of mordiggian, Guinsoo's scythe of vyse, satanic, vladimir's offering and necronomicon :)

So that's it. This is Metalwing guys, give him a warm welcome :)

Re: Hi guys, I'm Metalwing :)

Are you me? I'm so suprised. I'm too suprised. Shocked. Another player in Turkey even in Ankara.

Do you want a warm welcome?? How about a cup of coffee? If you happen to pass Bilkent give me a call, or PM :D Maybe you could want a chat with college and D2 player. ;)

Welcome :)

They'll kick you and stole your wallet so be prepared. :D

Re: Hi guys, I'm Metalwing :)

Seconded the shocked part :)

I'm also from Turkey, and though it is true that Turkish cuisine is quite delightful, it won't keep you from protecting your shins. *hands Metalwing a shin-protector*

Bilkent'in her gün yan?ndan geçiyorum, Çayyolu'ndan ODTÜ'ye giderken ister istemez :) Bu arada "they'll kick you" diye ba?layan k?s?mda bahsetti?in ?ey Bilkent olamaz san?yorum ki :) forumdan m? bahsediyorsun acaba :) "a cup of coffee" teklifine de daha hay?r demi?li?im yoktur :) zaman?n? yerini söyle yeter :)

Every single day, I pass by Bilkent when I go from Çayyolu to ODTÜ :) Btw, I don't think you're talking about Bilkent in the sentence which starts with "they'll kick you". Are you talking about forum ? And i never said no to a cup of coffee, just tell me the time and place :)

Seconded the shocked part :)

Abi ben 2.5 porsiyon kebap yedikten 1.5 saat sonra "ac?kt?m" diyen bir insan?m, 1.80 boyuma ra?men 70 kiloyum. Bi yerimde de bi fazlam yok ayr?ca :)

Dude, I'm someone who can say "I'm hungry" 1.5 hours after eating 2.5 portions of Kebap, I'm 1.80m tall (5'11'') and 70 kilos heavy (150 lbs). I don't have weight to lose :)

A little bit Turkish chit chat guys :)

Welcome to the forums :)

Sorceress is not weak by a longshot!

PS: I don't want to get paternal on you, but I think attending to classes and studying is a really good thing for your future! Also, although I'm a complete nub when comes to cuisine, I doubt your statement about the subject holds true for everyone. As the ancient romans used to say "tastes and colours shoud not be discussed".

PS2: This is an international forum. It would be better if you kept forum writing in English. There's always PM for private talk in other languages.

Hope you have fun with D2 and welcome

Maybe, but i am a noob who can't run a HC sorceress further than cold plains.

I'm a nub on cuisines as well, i only tasted japanese, chinese, italian, turkish, mexican. I got a lot more to taste. Btw that statement of ancient romans is used here a lot, and i know that. Also attending to classes and studying, yes these are some things that a student has to do :)

Actually this one is not so private, i can translate :) Thank you for your welcome :)

Re: Hi guys, I'm Metalwing :)

I didn't knew you meant Sorceress in HC! Now I see why you prefer Necros :)

I know the talk topic was not private, but the language used, not being the widely internationally spoken English, made it private.

In hindsight, I realize my previous comments may appear harsh, even rude. That's was not my intention.

Welcome to the forum! Hope your stay will be an enjoyable one :)

Re: Hi guys, I'm Metalwing :)

Aaaa I love Turkish Kebap.. Not stuff they sell us as Turkish Kebap in my country, but real Turkish Kebap
thanx for reminding me to them and wellcome to the forums :)

Re: Hi guys, I'm Metalwing :)

What is it about engineers and D2? Are Engineers somehow psychologically programmed to like RPGs?

Great intro, i'll give you 9/10 for that one. Welcome to the SPF.

Re: Hi guys, I'm Metalwing :)

Welcome to the forums!

I also love kebabs. I never tried other turkish dish though.

You have to try portuguese dishes, we have very good stuff too.

About university, I lost many years myself. I don't recommend it though. As soon as we close that chapter in our lives the better.

Hahaha, I'd love to host you here :) Turkey is not only famous for delicious dishes, but also hospitality ;)

Even in SC i don't like dying too much and Sorc is really needing a tank. Btw, your previous comment may be harsh, even rude (as you say); but it was something necessary, because here is a forum and a forum has some rules to be obeyed. And it was not that harsh. I see your intention :)

Hahaha, I don't know. But i know one thing: We engineers love to play computer games, and we played too much dota at dorm pc labs :) yeah, some of us even got suspended from labs for playing computer games as well (it's forbidden in our labs). Still we play it. They banned our access to PVPGN servers, but we play on lan :) they can not ban that, can they :)

Aaah, you definitely should try turkish desserts :) they are too different from the whole world. And they are delicious. If you don't believe me, ask Greeks about that :) They liked our desserts so much that they gave a greek name for our most famous dessert and now claim that they made it in the first place :)

About portugal, i also got some friends in there, in Lisboa. They are big fans of Sporting Lisboa (they are Leões :) I know some portuguese words as well, it's because i do capoeira), they even invited me to a facebook fan page which is about Sporting's winning against Benfica for 7-1 (I think it's from 1980s :))

Re: Hi guys, I'm Metalwing :)

Thanks for being such a nice guy! Btw I like kebab too :), but other than that I really don't know much else about Turkish cuisine.

Concerning SCP (Sporting Lisboa) facebook page it must be from the 80s (maybe even earlier). SCP is not doing so well lately. Not that it makes me happy or sad. I really don't care much about football. The exception being when Portugal plays. I like to see my own country playing well :)

Re: Hi guys, I'm Metalwing :)

Metalwing, SLB (Sport Lisboa e Benfica) is the best! :P You should join the 6-3 group when Benfica won in Sporting's home winning the championship in that game, it was legen- wait for it -dary :P

Football aside, I'll definitely try some turkish desserts if I have the chance :)
